Just called the dealership on this unit. It was discounted as a FLEET PRICE and was not purchased. They are in the process of flipping it back to retail and the discount will GO AWAY. It will be sold at MSRP.
I clicked the link and the price seemed too good to be true. Thanks for going to the trouble of checking this out and sharing with the board.

Why would they simply not sell it to you or me at that price if they was selling it anyway? If anyone understands fleet vs us

Let me put this a different way. You will lose $10k from your 24 correct?

I’ll make you a deal on your 25 right now. I will buy your truck. With the understanding that I get the first year of ownership. Then at this time next year you can buy it for 10k less. Sure you saved 10k but you will have no idea what or how I treated that truck.
See why your claim is crazy. Add to that the dealer has to make money.
But then we also hav to figure you won’t get to save 10k because you are now getting awd. Which usually added 3-5k to any vehicle depending on which one. So I will sell you back your truck after a year for 7k off.
That way I’ll be totally getting screwed instead of you.

My 2025 Lariat was delivered last week. I'm finding it hard to justify the $40K price tag as well.
Just curious, not intending to be argumentative but if you didn't want to spend $40k on the car, why would you order it? Or are you just having second thoughts? Everyone may be g

Salesman said this deal was for FLEET buyers that purchase 200 units per year(must have been government or MAJOR CORP). Buying that many vehicles is understandable to get a REAL discount.

I traded in my 2022 hybrid XLT yesterday for a 2025 XLT AWD hybrid.
Had to of coarse do the haggling back and forth.
Sure would I have wanted more, of coarse,
But in my city state sales tax is 10 percent, so with trade that was cut to half.
With interest high , I got 2% in 2022, I will just be paying off the balance with no regrets. Very happy with my new Azure blue!

Yes! I had ordered desert sand. My dealer called and said he had a AWD that a customer passed on. He brought out a carbonized grey. I was kinda disappointed because that’s what I had.Said well it’s not my first choice color wise but okay.
Then he said hang on, came back with the Azure grey.
In the sun the metal flake pops!

Hint: Car dealers are a for-profit business. 😉
yep - a trade in is the best way to get the least for your ride...
Dealers generally make more money (profit margin) on used vehicles. Thank goodness for Carvana and other Internet retailers to at least give sellers more options to get more money for their used vehicle.

yep - I know people who have essentially 'given away' their trades for a mere pittance - when they tell me what they got in trade I tell them well next time you go to trade in something let me know because , honestly, especially for older (8+) year vehicles that still have a lot of life on them and are well cared for they're lucky to get $2k for them when they are worth at least 2x that much.

I have a fundamental problem with using trade in tax savings as a way for dealer to justify their trade in offer.

If a vehicle is worth $10k on trade in, but they give you $8k because the $2k is offset with tax savings, that puts additional $2k in their pocket !.

If you are buying a NEW vehicle you should be able to keep both transactions separate and be able to work out the taxes with your county. Lets say 30 days, this way you can negotiate a good selling price and sell current one for as much as possible.

yep- it's should be like selling a house - you can offset your tax on profits by buying something else at a higher price, you don't have to use the same RE company to do that.
