Alright, I suppose a better way to put it is "I saw this years ago, but never took the time to ask what it was" I've known it was in there for years, I just didn't know what it was, and it didn't seem like I needed it. But I thought I'd ask after all this time just for fun.

I've never used the rear seat compartment lol. So I saw that cable when we bought the truck, put the seat down, and never really opened it again until today.
Basically, you were having too much fun driving your Maverick to notice, right?

Search this forum for: NZ6T-12663 and you'll see it's a 12v accessory pigtail that connects to a plug in the bed.
I could tell it was a power cable (mine was in the glovebox) when I found in my truck. Picked my 2025 up today. Can you be a little more specific on where it plugs in?

I could, but then I'd have to . . .

Oh, all right. It's the power lead to the flux capacitor.

Windows only but middle mouse click. If you click on the scroll wheel on an open app icon, it will open a new instance. So, if you have a word document open, you just go down to the app icon on the taskbar and do a scroll wheel click to open a new blank document. After years of "right-click; new" finding out about this shortcut blew my mind and I now use it daily.
I have been using pcs since before they had hdd of > 128mb...

Holy F#&$^$!!!!!

Thanks.

I can't believe some of these posts. My salesperson went through everything with my 24 Lariat when I picked it up, and I took the time to listen. I'm 82 years young, and have found that the manual in the glove compartment is a great source of information.

The manual is absolutely essential. And I'm not saying the OP's question hasn't been answered a dozen times in three years. But if you look at page 447, there is ZERO mention of a pigtail connector, a part number, or even that one is provided with the truck. There is no illustration of the pigtail, nor does it mention that there is a corresponding plug behind the covers in the bed.

Most of the rest of this thread has been fun banter based on silly topics (like the hybrid's center console slot - let us know when you find that one explained in the manual  ) that come up again and again.

Anyway, I bought my truck used. All the dealer gave me was a bunch of hard pulls on my credit report.

Which reminds me, we forgot "the button by the rearview mirror." We should make this thread a sticky.

I just read in a different post regarding the blinker noise. I totally spaced that one.

NO - It's not an accident! It's an unverified, not reproducible fact that these demon trucks lock their drivers out when they least expect it
Stop trying to scare everyone! It only happens on Mavericks that were built on DĂa de los Muertos! đź’€

Anytime I put something under the rear seat I forget where I put it, so I just keep things on top of the seat where they're visible.
