This is my third Maverick Hybrid, '22, '23, and now '25. This is the first time I have noticed a whistling at lower speeds (less than 25mph) with every acceleration. Has anyone else noticed this and may have insight as to why now?

Could be due to changes in the vehicles front end design, changing the way air flows around the front. The 25 hybrid also has a new eCVT, so it may sound different.

I know why it is whistling. Your Maverick does not know the words. Sorry, bad joke. :fingerscrossed:

Seriously though, I wonder how involved it would be to remove the front grille and see what happens. Maybe just a slight change in air flow in a particular spot may make all the difference.. Just for clarification not advocating permanent removal. LOL. Just a thought.

Could it be some sort of pedestrian sounder warning when it's in electric mode? Maybe it wasn't as pronounced in the earlier models?
Just guessing...

Thanks. Didn’t think it was anything to worry about. Just curious as others definitely didn’t have this noise.

Could be an air leak around the windshield where they didn't seal it all the way with glass caulk.

This☝
The Pedestrian warning sound is definitely present in the previous Hybrid models, but my '23 Hybrid isn't very loud at all. Either they turned up the volume in the '25s or only yours is louder. Or the '25 model front-end styling changes are allowing the speaker to appear to be louder. Or maybe Ford moved the speaker in the '25s (?).

Question for OP: does the audible backup warning seem to be any louder than your previous Hybrids?
