Anyone else with a 2025 Lariat have the Seat heating and steering wheel heating set to auto for remote start yet it doesn't seem to run. In my 22 auto basically meant if I remote started and it was like 40s and below it ran the seat and steering wheel. On the 25 I have yet to have it start the seats and steering wheel even down to 10 degrees outside with it set to auto. Is anyone else having this issue or found any solution?

Have you tried turning on the heated seats before you turn off the truck?
Yes it will keep the seat on not the steering wheel but it will never turn them on like past Ford's I've used do with remote starts.

From the manual:

1. From the settings menu, press Vehicle.
2. Press Remote Start Setup. You can adjust the following in the remote start settings menu:
• Enable or disable remote start.
• Climate control settings.
• Heated seat settings.
• Heated steering wheel settings.
• Remote start duration

Yes that menu has heated seats and steering wheel as one menu item which is on auto or you have the option of off.

Within the climate control sub menu you should see 2 settings, LAST and AUTO, check to see that AUTO is enabled. If it is the heated wheel and seats should turn on below 50 degrees (I think, check your owners manual).
LAST should turn on any climate control features you had on when you shut the vehicle off.

That was how the settings were on my 22 but in 25 it only seems to show auto and off and both are basically off.

If I understand, the heated wheel works when you manually turn it on. If so then when you change the climate control from auto to LAST, and turn on the heated wheel before turning the truck off, does the heated wheel turn on when remote started?
I thought the only change to the climate control system was the elimination of the physical buttons, but maybe more than that was changed 🤔

Edit: on my '23 the heated wheel and seat choices are only AUTO or OFF in the remote start menu

Yes they physically work when manually turned on, but the option is off or auto the steering wheel won't turn back on if left on the seat will. I have a feeling Ford will need to push an update it must be a software bug.

I’m going to agree and feel like this may be a software bug. Also the addition of “Auto” for the heated seats themselves is a new revision I haven’t seen implemented on this platform. I’m not talking about the settings page you pictured but the icon showing “A” which is itself a mode for the seats to turn on at determined times. Normally this was a Lincoln feature for heated and cooled seats so why it’s on this heat only model is odd but not a negative. Have you cycled the seats to full off and tried? It’s likely moot I’m just curious now why they gave that setting as an option and am wondering if it’s fighting the logic of the vehicle during remote start.

Yes I've tried off in remote start settings and turning remote start on and off. At least sync 4 is still maintained and gets OTA updates so they should be able to fix it.

Okay just was curious. The automatically heating seats is new for 2025 so they must have broke something. It isn’t maintained by Sync 4 but by the HVAC Module and Body Control Module

Seems like a software issue.
One last thing to try is to set climate control to LAST, set your seats and wheel to OFF, then turn the seat and wheel on manually before shutting down. Remote start the truck and see if they return to the on setting.

You probably already know this, since your '22 was the same, but, on my '23 under the remote start settings, I have the climate control set to LAST, the seats set to OFF, and the wheel set to OFF. When it's cold enough in NC - like this week 😒 - I turn the seats and wheel on as desired, set my heat/defrost and temp before shutting down. When I remote start, everything turns on as I set it.
The auto climate control works great, but, I prefer a greater amount of defrost action when it's winter.

In my 2024 eco AWD lariat
In the dash menu/vehicle/remote start settings. I can set to use last dash settings or auto.
I use auto, seats and steering wheel heat up on cold mornings as does the cab. All defrosted and toasty ..

I may be mistaken but didn't we have to get into the dash program and activate that ?I don't remember I know it was one of the options to have the climate control automatic with the remote start I just don't know if it was by default or not try checking that on the 25 model and see if those options exist and our active
