Welcome to winter. How much snow is forecasted for your area?
We got about 3 inches in Atlanta but it turned into slush and now frozen into ice. Freezing rain is expected later tonight and Saturday morning. Fun.

6" of snow in NW Ark. Some towns South of here got 14". I have no reason to go anywhere, mini-splits are keeping it toasty in the house. And Leo is in the unheated garage, but out of the weathah.

Y'all can keep the frozen rain in 'lanta. Hate that sh*t.

Y'all can have it! Grew up in Northern PA and have lived in North Dakota, Northern Germany, Northern New York State, Fairbanks Alaska, and now in Ohio. Honestly don't care if I ever see any more snow except way up on the top of some far distant mountain top!

Middle Tennessee here. We got about 7 inches. With the salt and refreeze always have ice. The local new repaves will be trash after the plows get out.

I moved to the south to hide from the snow. Now if it snows everything is closed anyway.

Our NC winters are short but right now they will be salting the roads. Mine stays parked until we thaw out and get rain to wash the salt away.
Driving my running perfectly 2004 escape with 225,000 miles on the clock to Ford next week to pick up my rubber floor mat set and my mud flaps.
The picture is 3 hours into a stretch of 18 hours of snow.

I don't mind the snow. The road salt, now that is something to hide from!
I was behind a salt truck when it was clear and dry out and the truck was laying down salt. I asked my brother in law who plows for the state why and he told me they dump the load to save time so they don't have to unload it on the pile when they're done with the shift. Just easier.

Yep up here as well. Then by February we always hear how the town garage has exceeded their salt budget for the winter. Another quirk is plowing when the road is bare. On the blacktop portion of our road we call it making sparks.
