Updated Information - Gas Filter on the Ecoboost, No Loss of Power

This is information I obtained from Ford. No loss of power. 25MY gets 250hp even with the gas filter in J3.

Ford is introducing GFP mid-25MY on Bronco Sport and Maverick. Bronco Sport began adding GPF to 1.5L at Job 2. Both will begin adding on the 2.0L at J3 which is timed around the end of June 2025. No Maverick will have a GPF before then. Regardless of the GPF, engineering was able to sign off the carryover 250 horsepower on the 2.0L. No power loss.

Good news for EB owners - hopefully folks get the J1 and J2s without the GPF!

So did some 2025 models get sold with the filter that results in the power loss and this filter is now not needed on 25 models moving forward?

So did some 2025 models get sold with the filter that results in the power loss and this filter is now not needed on 25 models moving forward?
No, as it says above, the gas filter is being introduced in Job 3. Only job 1 have been produced so far. All will not have the filter. No reason for us to complain at this time. And the other note is that with the filter engineers have tested and found no loss of power with the filter on one it is introduced in Job 3.

Gotcha,so it was just in the literature that 25 models would be down on hp,but Ford found a workaround so this would not be the case before the 25,s were sold.....

Why would you not want the emissions reducing device if the rest of the parameters remain exactly the same? Why pollute more for no reason at all?

Well as someone who will be driving the Hybrid AWD on Thursday....this doesn't apply to me.

But GPFs require maintenance, and can degrade over time as an "active" emissions system.

Thank you, I think this will be updated. But I think Ford legal has to post that if even one vehicle is built with the filter and since we will see job 3s with the filter, this must be posted. I'm not confident that we won't see a reduction in horsepower. But engineers sound positive.

I'm also very confused by the folks who are worried about losing less than 5% total HP while losing no torque. The result will be impossible to notice and will impact nothing but theoretical top speed since the truck is speed limited anyway. This is a lot of whining over nothing that in any way impacts anything other than ego. They aren't taking anything away, they are giving you a cleaner truck with no discernible difference in power delivery.

Frankly, I wouldn't expect he Ecoboost to be around long anyway. With hybrid AWD it just is not necessary.
