Overall I like my Maverick, but in hindsight I think I would have bought a Lariat. I did some upgrades on an F150 XLT I once owned, and I’m wondering if similar upgrades can be done to the Mavericks. Can the sun visors be replaced with Lariat visors? I would only do this if the Lariat visors have lighted mirrors and garage door opener feature. If Lariat visors don’t have these features, is there an app(s) for opening my garage door. No sliding rear window or rear window defroster. F150 did come with this. This is just FYI, probably way too expensive to upgrade if it’s even possible. Front end leveling kit For 2025. Don’t want a full lift kit. Lariat wouldn’t solve this, but I don’t like the way the front end sits lower. However, I’ve read a few things about lift/leveling kits causing CV issues. Any technical facts regarding this? Thank you in advance for advice you can provide.

1. There's no garage door opener offered on the Maverick.
2. Your garage door might have an app directly, but nothing via Ford.
3. Sliding rear window is somewhere between $1200-2000 in parts and installation, and probably isn't worth your money.
4. There is no rear defroster on the Maverick.

For the garage door openers function you can install a rear view mirror with that. Some owners install a KIA mirror which would require power to be supplied to the mirror for the garage door control to work, or you can install a Toyota mirror which has an internal battery which means there's no need to run any wires. The Toyota mirror is more expensive, but, it's a lot easier to install.
Aftermarket manual rear sliding windows are available, or you could have the Ford one put in by a qualified glass shop. Adding the power feature would be to much expense and work IMHO.

Common misconception about the CV axles they fail on bone stock eco and hybrid alike. Ford needs to recall them as they are clearly defective. Time will tell if the problem has been addressed with 25 model (doubt it).

It has been confirmed by others that the CV axles have been redesigned. Time will tell if the redesigned axles are any better.

Do you by chance know what Toyota part number the mirror is? Does it install without modification? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

They claim a ten year lifespan on the battery. My wife had a "Toyota" homelink mirror in her 2011 lexus that was still working when we traded the car in on a 2024 model in May of '24.
Your results may vary....

I did the Kia mirror swap. You have to hardwire into the interior lights panel, but I don't consider myself too electrical savvy and was able to do it. There was someone who sold plug-and play harnesses to make it easier but he stopped doing them. Just search Kia mirror on here and you'll find several threads.
