!!MINOR MODIFICATION OF PARTS REQUIRED!!
I purchased several ladder racks from Amazon and only kept the one that required the least modification to work and look decent. Also measured every tool box in stock at Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply, and Rural King. Here's what I settled on:
Ladder Rack: VEVOR 46-71 inch 800 lbs capacity
This item is currently out of stock on Amazon and also the manufacturer site, but that may change in the future. Contact them for more info.
I chose this rack due to the style and size of the angle braces. Check the photos below and you'll see why that was important. Also, Pay VERY close attention to the adjustability of the height AND WIDTH of whatever racks you are buying. Very few will work on a Maverick without even more modifications than I had to do.
Modifications required to work with a tool box, and on a Maverick:
1. Removed 3-1/2" from the bottom of the "T" shaped sections so it wouldn't be insanely tall. I would've liked to do even lower, but that would mean sectioning and re-welding the bent parts. At that point I would've just made new racks from scratch
2. Drilled and welded new nuts further up the "T" section, because step 1 cuts them off. If you can't weld, you could also use large self-tapping sheet metal screws, or drill entirely through the connection and use a nut and bolt to fasten the pieces together.
3. Cut 2-3/4" out of the lower angle brace for the front rack (to accommodate a toolbox).
4. Cut 1-1/4" off 2 of the backing bars that go under the bed side rail.
5. Grind/sand/repaint everything, and replaced the included hardware with black set screws instead of bolts.
Tool box: Delta Mid-size crossover truck box 1-304000
Mine is branded Crescent JOBOX, but they're all made by Delta. I'm sure others will fit the same way, just compare measurements.
I had to drill new holes for the mounting clamps and also a relief hole for the rack clamp bolt to sit in. (photos below)
Bedliner: Line-X standard. Installed by my local Line-X shop for $575.
Slightly shorter antenna will be delivered tomorrow so I don't run into any clearance issues there (stock antenna ends about 1" above the rack.)
