Steeda Maverick Strut Tower Brace - Black (2025)

I just finished installing this with minimal instruction, so basically what is needed is a 6 mm hex socket, torque wrench (23 ft/lb) , 5 zip ties (came with 2), 1 inch rubber hose about 2 inches long. I split the hose lengthwise to wrap the bar.

Hmm, I installed mine today. I didn't use the pipe hose, just a little electrical tape. I also didn't feel any difference between before and after (whereas I did when I added a Ford Performance one to my Mustang convertible that had noticeable cowl flex).

It’s late and dinner/beer time so haven’t even driven mine yet. The instructions didn’t mention the line rubbing the pipe but the line will move as the engine vibrates so i wanted the rubber to take away the friction that might wear through the plastic line.
The reason i went with the Steeda is because a few weeks ago i was driving to the store behind a 22-24 Maverick 2wd that took a corner very quickly and the body roll was really excessive; it looked like the front strut was about to pull out of it’s tower lol :)
I still have to install the rear Steeda sway bar, so hopefully when i take that same corner i won’t feel like i'm going to roll it into the ditch.

I don't know about that. I tried that initially but the angle of attack was better going under:

A convertible car is basically a bathtub. You’re definitely gonna feel the difference because there is no B pillar or C pillar in a convertible so that strut tower bar is gonna be noticeable.
A lot of extra little things to do to make this not rub and touch other parts.
I went with the Massive Bar. More attachment points at the strut tower, no extra adjustments for fitment and different colors.
Either massive or steeda there is a noticeable difference in handling on the twisties in my opinion.

The fuel line is supposed to go over the bar. You’re putting a lot of downward pressure on that connection.

When i set the bar in there was less movement of the line going over it.
I have a hybrid so i assumed that was because the added mounting blocks that Steeda provides lifted it up about a half inch.

Here is an old pic from someone else’s hybrid installation.

I just installed mine and I agree having the fuel going over the bar without modifications is not a good option. But pushing it underneath still put quite some pressure on the line, more than I was comfortable with.
I popped the midline connector out of the metal bracket.
I

Then I added a metal piece and attached the hose to continue giving support.

Now the hose easily goes over the bar and there is very little stress on the connectors.

This photo was taken before I added the metal support bracket.

It seems that Ford added the mid support bracket for a good reason, before I added my modified bracket, there was some resonance vibration around 1200 rpm. It is gone after I added the metal support. I'm guessing that without the mid support the hose was vibrating around that rpm, making the noise.
