As announced last week, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is currently hosting a measuring session for aftermarket companies to develop 2022 Ford Maverick accessories and other upgrades. It's taking place in SEMA's garage in Diamond Beach, California.

SEMA measuring sessions allow aftermarket suppliers and manufacturers a hands-on first look at the trucks before they hit the market. This gives them time to develop parts so that when the trucks hit the market in the fall of 2021, consumers can begin modifying their trucks how they like and making them more and more their own.

The Area 51 Maverick is an XLT trim with 2.5L hybrid engine and eCVT FWD. The Hot Pepper Red is a Lariat with 2.0L EcoBoost, 8 speed automatic, FX4 package, AWD.

I'm curious what the main types of aftermarket accessories might come out of these types of events. Pictures show measurements being taken of the wheel well and suspension components, would look to be based around possible aftermarket lift or related items?

I wouldn’t mind seeing a big brake package to fill in the empty space behind the wheels.

They will have to do until I can get the air done.

Thank you for posting pictures, I'm excited to see what they come up with.

I think Maverick lowering springs will be assured. Plus, Eibach is also there taking suspension measurements. (y)

Someone PLEASE come out with some plastic fender liners. I have those same "fabric" type of fender liners on my current vehicle and they are impossible to clean. I literally drove on gravel once and the dust is forever trapped in them. We've got a high pressure wash at work and that along with a strong brush won't even get all of the dust/debris out of them.
I contacted Husky Liners and the Customer Service Rep stated they are planning on making products for the Maverick. Since they all ready make liners for the Ranger and F150 I'm sure they will make them for the Maverick. Heck maybe those guys in the pictures are from Husky taking measurements for wheel well liners! We'll just have to wait and see! :)

interesting question about big brakes. We all like to see the wheels filled up. But with regenerative braking, big brakes on a Hybrid might be silly from a practical standpoint. I'm assuming the brakes are the same size on Hybrid and EB builds.
