After years and years of tent car camping at IMSA race weekends, gravel bike races, trout fishing excursions, etc, my wife and I are looking to move up to a truck camper type set up.
Has anyone purchased a Scout Tuktut for their Maverick yet? I have seen reviews for the wedge style tent...
I am just a subscriber to the Overland Journal but was greeted to this from them in my inbox. Raffle tixs for a Ford Maverick/Colorado Teardrop package. The Maverick is an XLT, Luxury package, FX4 and Tow Package.
If I am lucky enough to win. Ill post the Maverick for sale and keep the...
There is validity to your point if it is a manufacturer marketed “teardrop” like an RPOD. I tow a traditional 5x8 teardrop with galley in back. My MPG drops about 4 mile per gallon with our Subaru. The roofline is just a little higher than the Outback and less if we put a Thule box on top...
Not an official answer but I doubt it. The softopper has a rail channel that would interfere because it is the mechanism that lets you retract the softopper
Softopper.com has a good example of it on their homepage
The answer is Ford is in a position to earn 7 billion dollars today from Rivian IPO
Plus more revenue as the company grows and share in technology advancements
Ford outbid GM for a 12% stake in the company
Yes. Easily. Horsepower can be a detriment on the beach in the wrong hands.
Tires, air pressure and no wheel spin are key
I took my 1994 Toyota Tacoma 4cylinder towing a small pop up camper out to OBX to surf and fish for years
The dealership model is as useless as the three tier distributor model for beer and wine. All it does is raise the price for the end user with zero added value
Problem is the models are not going to change due to laws and precedent or want from dealerships to be more consumer friendly. When...
The bigger word is “suggested”. The dealer is paying Ford the invoice price. The dealer owns the product now and can charge what the market will pay after that. They dont have to follow a suggestion
All my vendors show a MSRP price on what I buy but it means nothing. Now charging more than...
Tesla has already found away around the dealership state laws crap. They are opening up dealerships on tribal lands where possible to avoid state laws. The traditional dealerships are crying it isnt fair eventhough they have been the ones backing the unfair practice of dealerships for years.
we can agree here for sure. A more level playing field would help greatly. Small business provide the most employment and pay the highest in taxes eventhough
Eventhough we come from opposites side we can agree here
A more level playing field would be nice. Especially when small business...
Not drinking the kool aid here. Living it everyday has a small business owner. I have to wake up everyday go hunt it and kill it and the free market makes me successful.
I would hate to see a world with less free market. The backbone of the US economy and over half of employment opportunities...
Buying a Ford Maverick isnt a state of emergency or a life necessity.
The free market will decide if it is to high of a price. That is the beauty of supply/demand and free market dynamics. Yes the dealership is harming themselves and reputation and not playing the long term game by trying to...
In the end the market will decide the price. They state clearly what they feel the market will accept. Maybe yes or maybe no. There isnt any stealing or price gouging. The consumer has options not to buy. You can dislike it and disagree and move your business
My house was listed above...
I would be suprised if fourwheelercamper, ursa minor, etc will make one to fit the maverick even if it is possible
They cant keep up on midsize or full size demand and dont have fit kits for all manufacturers yet for midsize and full size. The new Frontier and Tundra will get priority
Plus...
I have found mine on amazon once I knew the height after outifitting my truck. People I have camped with have cut a couple of inches off of their shark fin with zero problems too. Once people get a Maverick and can tell if antennae works with the mast part off it may be good to go
I am not a...
Besides long items it is in the way for a hardshell rooftop tent or any cargo carrying system like the rhino rack ones it is in the way
With all the gloating Ford is doing about how the Maverick is for an active lifestyle and flexibility this was a glaring miss. Luckily it is fixable aftermarket
