Carbonized gray Lariat hybrid with luxury package and moon roof. Ordered 6/17/21, built 1/3/22 & delivered 3/10/22.

Ordered with Mike Robinson at Ken Wilson Ford in Canton, NC. $500 deposit, no dealer fees, no market adjustment & no nonsense. I was very satisfied with the experience and would gladly order or purchase a vehicle from them again.

Added several Ford accessories after the sale including soft roll up tonneau cover, tailgate liner, bed mat, floor liner tray set & hitch receiver cover cap.

I use the truck a lot with the bed uncovered. The soft cover seems durable and rolls away minimizing rear view obstruction. The truck came with a spray in bed liner which looks like fancy rubber paint. I am not confident in its durability so I added the bed mat and tailgate liner. I haul rocks and boulders and bulk garden and landscaping supplies and need something to really protect the bed. The bed mat is easily removable and easy to clean. I was surprised when floor liners finally became available and ordered a set. The hitch cover which is a Ford part was ordered from Amazon. It makes the hitch area look more finished.

I donā€™t use any of the FITS attachments, even the ones supplied by Ford. The honeycomb 3D printed cubby inserts available from various makers seem a little primitive. I utilized the cubby area by attaching a phone mount to it. It holds the phone high enough to view easily and still provides access to the cubby. The mount is SCOSCHE magnetic car phone holder mount from Amazon.

I watched Tim Bartzā€™s (Ford Video Guy) weekly updates and appreciate all the information and advice about ordering, issues with parts, chips, scheduling and delivery logistics. It helped keep my frustration level under control as I otherwise would not have a clue about what was going on. I was not getting milestone updates from Ford and called their marketing department weekly for status. Most of the time the status was there is no status.

I was tempted to change my order to Eco Boost when it looked like hybrids were never going to be built. I hung in there and it was definitely the right decision for us. In an ordinary mix of driving I am getting 40.1 MPG with just over a quarter of that being electric. Outstanding.

Congratulations on your purchase! The lack of communication from Ford was frustrating for me too, but I'm glad you stuck to your guns. It really is a great little truck and totally worth the wait in my opinion.
Right with you on that FITs business. I put the little wastebasket in back just 'cause they gave it to me, but I really don't see how there's anything groundbreaking there like they make it out to be. Eh, whatever. šŸ˜
Enjoy!

That phone holder is very clean. I have experience with spray in liners. You won't have any issues with it unless you are hauling cords of wood or bricks. it's tough stuff and will protect for the life of the truck. Been ordering spray in for 30 years. No issues. ( when done at the factory )

It's posts like these that stave off the sheer madness that comes with every build week delay I keep getting... thanks for sharing.

So glad you held out. I too am waiting on mine. It's been 8 1/2 months now and no word from Ford but I will be glad when it gets built. I am looking forward to the fuel savings with the hybrid.

Congrats! You are correct that is well worth the wait. I got the same as you and got it in March. Ordered June 9, 2021. I first went with the gray and then changed to rapid red. Perfect time for a Hybrid. I love my little truck.

Congratulations. I waited 309 days (July-May) and it was worth the wait. My last fill up was May 30th. The value of the truck is magnified with the Hybrid engine. Very happy so far. Ordering another in August for my child.

She's gorgeous! You'll love it and make up reasons to drive it. "What .... we're out of butter?!!" I'd better head over to that new supermarket!". Sure, it's ten miles away, but ya, let's go!

I like your addition of D ring tie downs on the plank you made for the bed divider. Looks like you have already put a great deal of thought and attention to detail for what you're adding to the truck. Of course, you've had lots of time to do so. Happy and safe trucking!

Hang in there! I know it's frustrating, but just think how much more magnified your joy will be when she's finally in your driveway!

OP nails it. . . I'm 2 weeks in and the Hybrid Maverick is awsome. It truly is the best Maverick version. Unless you need to tow and AWD. The fuel economy is great and ride is smooth.
