Another sad week from Ford! Surprise me, and prove me wrong! I would like my 23 XL, instead of a 24. I switched to Ecoboost in hopes of getting a 23 Maverick.

so based on the above, the order bank for MY24 maverick is still open.
That’s correct, although some dealers (like mine) are opting not to take new MY24 orders due to the large amount of rollers they currently have.

Officially, yes. Responsible dealers without specific allocations are limiting orders accordingly or altogether from various posts I've noted.

It’s a coin toss for me, whether I’d rather have one of the first (theoretically) 24’s and a private offer, or one of the last 23’s + $3000. The same XL Hybrid, just a different color.

Property taxes will be less on a 23 than a 24. Also, you will pay about the same amount to purchase the truck after the private offer is done. In some states, the sales tax will also be higher on a 24. The truck is basically unchanged from 23 to 24.
Is it possible that Ford would close the order banks on hybrid orders before 2024 Mavs in general? It gives me a glimmer of hope that bank remains open after 1 full week-My order got confirmed on Tuesday 7/18 10:30est. Hoping Trusty Rusty 05 Ranger can hold on 1 more yearish!!

Good luck to all those waiting for a 2023! Looks like only one more Thursday after tomorrow to get scheduled for a 23. And the beat goes on!
Saw a maverick for the first time at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in the ford display as I walked into the show. Hybrid, lariat trim in area 51. Sat in the front, sat in the back and just generally admired the truck. Owned a 2010 fusion hybrid(died in an accident), and replaced it with a cmax so I am very familiar with the ford Hybrid platform. Drug my feet for a while before I decided to order a Hybrid maverick from a dealer where a brother works. When I finally got around to placing the order----febuary/ march 2022 the order banks where closed. Salesman placed order in Sept. 22 when banks reopened for 23 orders. Haven't been in much contact with Salesman except maybe 3 times since Feb 2022. Fast forward to July 17th 2023, called to say still want the truck, not scheduled so place the order for 2024. He was out sick for the day, but called the next day and we placed an new order with only a color change because area 51 was deleted for 24. Fast forward to Friday 28th July and I get an email from the Salesman with a vin# and build date of Sept. 9. Called ford today to confirm and get build sheet info to make sure it's the truck, color, trim level and options I asked for in Feb March 2022 but nice lady said she did not have that information yet. She was able to confirm the Vin and that the date had moved to Sept 12th but the other info would either have to be obtained from the dealer and Salesman, or wait until the window sticker generates. I hope the Salesman got it right, I am not going to bug him, I will just wait until the window sticker is available. Never once in the entire process did I receive an email from Ford
