Don't the running boards sort of defeat the purpose of a lift?

Your truck looks great. I have a 22 FX4 EB and have ordered a 2025 Tremor. I was also thinking of adding the rough country 2-inch lift. My question is, do you know if this voids the factory warranty? RC is known to be a very quality aftermarket fitter, but I can't find any information about this. Thank you in advance, and good luck. Enjoy that beautiful truck.

One of the reasons for the lift.
I wanted to gain back the clearance i lost with the nerf bars. I wanted the bars to protect the rockers from damage if i slid into something hard from the side and not so much for the step (they are not useful as a step they mount to high and tight on the body for that).
Even with the nerf bars which only hang down about 1.25 to 1.5 inches lower than the rocker i have gained an overall positive clearance and really more clearance down the middle should i need to run over an object.
In addition gained the ability to run larger tires without clearance issues so can increase ground clearance
about 1.5" to 2" more if needed.

Btw I ended up gaining about 2.75" more clearance overall with the lift. the nerf bars do cost me break over clearance but I feel they are worth the extra protection.

I do not know for sure. But I don't think they will cover the cv joints after.

Brings up a point, has anyone reported a bad or leaking CV joint on a Tremor?
Not sure a torn boot qualifies as that happens to "offroad" brands as well.

How much did the 2” RC lift affect the ride quality? I am thinking about putting a 1” RC lift on my 2022 Lariat, which basically levels the truck. But the 2” lift is tempting also!
