Yeah that front "skid" plate protection on the radiator is trash. Unfortunately - I don't think the Mav Tremor is going to warrant much of an aftermarket for parts but if there is one thing I would absolutely want on my Tremor it would be a skid plate up front similar to the Taco TRD. Hopefully someone will come out with that.

Let's be clear - this is not a "rock crawler" but that is not the only form of off roading. Anyone trying to rock crawl this is going to have a bad time. However - the Tremor is not a bad package to start with to make a great little off road truck.

I don't understand the "real" locking diff comment. You probably want to jump out and lock your hubs too? 😜

Ford Ranger Lifts has already done a 2" lift with a 32" tire. but that's as much as you'll get in there without modifying the fender well.

I'll be happy with the AT3 that come on it. It's just under a 31" tire. As stated above, I'd like an upgraded skid plate and I want a proper 2" lift from Fox/King/Bilstein utilizing a longer spring with longer travel shocks (not spacers).

The goal for me won't ever be to rock crawl but rather gain a little extra ground clearance and an even better suspension for handling the back roads.
The Maverick's front non-Tremor low plastic valance needs to be covered by an upswept skid plate - An aftermarket unit is available for the Bronco/Sport but haven't seen anything like that for the Maverick. Is the Tremors radiator brace the same as non-Tremor FX4 units ? The Tremor with the rear clutch lock is nice, for now I will have to rely on 245/65/17s Toyo ATs and the 1.8 inch H/R lift springs,
just floor it and hope for the best -)

Agreed - I was a bit surprised no one made one for the FX4 in the last year but maybe now that the Tremor has dropped they'll make versions for both. Or maybe the aftermarket guys are thinking there just won't be enough demand because most will be mall crawlers... :)

Whoever designs it needs to make one that has a oil change access door :)

My fear is lack of demand but if a shop is large enough and has a CNC machine once they have the template they can run in small batches or on an as ordered basis.

It's not that I want to make it a rock crawler - I just want to protect the important bits. I'd love to rip the rear bumper off and fabricate a steel rear bumper which would improve departure angle and add protection in the back.

The JCR Offroad stuff for the BS is good quality and reasonably priced, we as a community just need to keep contacting them to convince them to make plates for the Maverick, when I contacted them they said they had no intention of making anything for the Maverick.
I hope that changes. Remember the Bronco sport badlands has been out in the world for almost 3 years now since the concept. If the Maverick AWD gets built in enough volume somebody will make one.

Hopefully - That picnic table valance needs a skid wrap for sure.

I hope so. Once Ford builds more Mavericks someone will start making more parts for it.
You can get skid plates for Subarus so there is hope.

I still don't see many Maverick trucks on the street so it may be hard to get one to prototype the parts from.

But we need to keep asking so these companies know there is demand for aftermarket parts like this for the Maverick.

Wait...I didn't buy a "rock crawler"? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I need a lift desperately, and I would love to have my Falken Wildpeaks back from my F150. Btw I'm from Ohio too. I play at Hollywood CBUS and go to as many Blue Jackets games as I can!

This is incorrect info, recommend tire size on their lift without any trimming is a max 30.0" tire......says it right on their site. Anything bigger and it has a disclaimer that trimming of the pinch weld, plastic/liners would be necessary. Even their max tire size recommendation with trimming is a 31.5" tire.
