My remote start has started to display the message in my title. It doesn't remote start or operate doors. Looks like half the vehicle information is updating as well.
I have logged off my fordpass multiple times. I've removed the vehicle from it and done full factory resets including deleteing the app from my phone. I've tried the flick headlights 5 times and press on the breaks 3. I removed the positive battery cable and it did start once using fordpass, but the next morning it was back to displaying the message again. Has anyone else experienced this and have any solutions?

EDIT: I have done every troubleshooting step I can find and I have done them multiple times. The support teams answer was to take it to the dealer. I will do that soon. I have a service coming up.

Something that is strange is that when I go to the fordpass connect settings nothing comes up and the loading wheel spins continuesly. It's been a few months but I feel like that had a function before. Sync is at 3.4

I have seen other people mention stuff like this in other posts. It sounds like they had to uninstall and reinstall the app. That seems to fix most the problems people have mentioned.

Tried to start with the FordPass app today and got the same message. When I tried again, the start option was grayed out. Was about to try a third time when all of a sudden my truck started up. I'll be danged.

I'll keep an eye on it.

I had this happen several times. Finally called Ford tech support. They answered immediately and were very friendly. Got the app reconnected, and two days later it happened again. Called back, and again got immediate help. They asked about the sync software version. It turned out to be a borked version of the sync software that would frequently fail to connect to Ford. The nice woman told me that it has been an issue, and she connected me to the next level of tech support. She walked me through upgrading the software (on the web site, put in on a USB stick, stick it in the dash). All the problems went away after that.

Kudos to the tech support line. I was seriously dreading the call and anticipating a runaround. They completely suprised me.

And this is one reason why I avoid this app like the plague (and have for every brand of vehicle I've ever owned with remote start from apps).

I don't know what the old version was, but I think the latest is 3.4.22251. They told me that there had been issues all year with an older version losing modem connectivity. Trying the update from the menu in the car didn't seem to get the latest version even though it said it was up to date.

This was the issue, but I was unable to do it from the website because it was basically down and said it would let us know when the downloads were available again.
There is a 3rd party software you can use and I started to but then it warns about possibly "bricking" the truck and that sounded bad and I thought about my warranty so I didn't do it.
So today I took it in for the turn signal recall and to have them update it manually. It went from the 2251 to a 23.... I'll have to look when I'm back in there. It is working again though and my data is syncing correctly too! Thank you for the information!
