Exactly one reason I bought my Maverick. Wife has arthritis in knee and shoulder. I’d downgraded from Supercrew 4x4 to a 2wd Ranger crew cab with running boards wife still had trouble getting in. Ended up keeping the Ranger only a few months when I got lucky and found a used AWD Maverick for a reasonable price by todays norms and got MSRP for Ranger so only cost me about $2K and I’d put about 4500 miles on Ranger.Septuagenarian (70+)

One selling point for Maverick (like Ford needs another one) is that the low step in height is good for us geezers.
