Funny, most people get fed up with the IT people.I don't really know why people are so suspicious about this general info. This is a silly truck forum, FFS. Nobody is getting stalked or anything. And besides, given what is already known by tech companies about us all, simply letting strangers know your occupation is a weird place to draw the line. It isn't really dangerous in any way or particularly revealing.
I'm 52. I used to work in IT but got fed up with the people. The wife and I discussed it and decided I would be happier working part time (and we could do it financially), so now I drive a school bus and mentally torment children. I'm a lot happier.
My existing vehicle is near EOL, and the hybrid Maverick is suited to what we want to do more of, hiking, camping, cycling, road trips, etc. The price is right. It will fit in the garage. All good.
The funny thing about IT is when everything is working, people resent how you apparently do nothing, and when everything is broken, people resent how you apparently do nothing. The sarcastic streak this can bring out in your average IT person knows no bounds.Funny, most people get fed up with the IT people.
