The other day the yellow indicator lights on my dashboard dimmed. This occurred several times over about 1/2 an hour of driving. There were no other symptoms EXCEPT the regenerative brakes seemed to be vibrating. Both issues went away. Anyone ever see this before?

I wish I could dim mine. I see them reflected in my rear window tint all the time. First vehicle I've ever noticed something like that.

No screen reflection either... Just the bright ambers even during daylight.

But nope... Never seen that issue before.

I have actually seen that several times on my XL. And the shift position indicator on the dash dims a little too at the same time. That's how I first noticed it. It doesn't stay dim for long, maybe a few seconds but does it randomly. And I have not had any deep sleep messages and my volt meter in the bed always has above 12 volts. Not sure what is going on?

Those should ‘dim’ when lights are on. Maybe the light sensor is bad and thinks the car is going in and out of darkness.

But then the dash lights would come on and I don't see that happening?

In OP’s photo the button backlights are On, that is why I thought of it.

Like other lights, the brightness is probably controlled by a PWM signal (12v is toggled on/off quickly). Those lights, since On all the time, would be a different wire than the dash lights and button backlights. So it would seem the wire for the indicator lights is getting its signal changed for some reason. Computer is confused or running slowly. Hard to tell which. Since there is mention of it happening only sometimes during re-gen, seems to be software related.
