Xlt windshield on a lariat?

I am hoping to install a base model windshield on the lariat due to the $800 soundscreen window price. Does anyone know if the base window will work on the lariat? I assume so since it is just glass, but hoped someone knows for sure.

It will fit. It will just not be quite as quiet.
But it might be more resistant to cracking than the SoundScreen is when a rock hits it.

Assuming your insurance doesn't cover glass replacement?

I had mine replaced for the $100 deductible with State farm. Dropped it down to $0 deductible on comprehensive this year for $7 more every 6 months.

I wish. My deductible is about the same as the windshield. I had just renewed and foolishly forgot to include the Ford Windscreen CYA coverage because the window cost so much. I could pay for it, but it is the principal that it is really unnecessary in my opinion.

I just need to validate that the base model windshield fits fine and doesn't impede the camera and other functions. I doubt it will because it is just clear glass, but i figure someone has done it for sure. I didn't find much when searching, though.
