I hate to admit it but I have avoided dealership repairs for the past 40 years unless mandated. I usually will find a local mechanic who specializes in my car for the repairs I cannot do. Most of us in here are car enthusiasts. We love our trucks, motorcyles, etc. We wax them. We think of ways to make them look a little different than the next person. We pamper them. So when you have to take your car into the dealership, you hope they don't do something that will dissappoint you.

When I took mine in for the Tailight recall and sleep issue, I was hopeful. Got a lyft ride home. But they gave the lyft guy the wrong address. He barely understood me as I tried to explain to him that the address would take me two blocks away from my home. We argued!! Can you believe it?

They called around noon (which was a nice surprise). I got a ride to the dealership. I then waited for them to pull up my truck. I'm 6'2" tall. The person who brought me back my truck was much smaller. My mirrors were jacked up and the drivers seat was push all the way forward and the steering wheel was up all the way. My seat is electrically powered!

So to get in my truck, I had to open the passenger side, reach over and stick my key in the ignition, turn it on, walk around to the drivers side and power my seat back so I could get in! Oh the pleasures of taking your prized possesion to the dealership. We are so lucky!!
Heck after my wife drives ours I just open the driver door and move the power seat back and down without key or turning it on. Maybe the 2024 model is different.

Last year after I had some work I had done on my Saturn Vue, I was looking under the hood and notice I had about 4 different types of clips/ pins/ fasteners (what ever you call them) on different cowlings and covers - very few matched the mirror side of the pieces. Some fit and some did not and some were very loose. The perfectionist I am I ended up ordering a 200pcs bag of assorted clips and fixed it myself. All the time grumbling about how they should work neatly and keep the parts organized!

Huh? My '24 Lariat does not require the truck to be running to move the drivers seat.

Huh? Guess I should go try this. I assumed I had to get the truck powered up to move it. I have XLT Hybrid, not the lariat, but I will give this a try tomorrow.

Well, dumb me!! I'll try this to see if it works! Point though at the very least HE could have moved the seat back.

After purchasing the Mav from the dealer, my windshield washer fluid light came on the minute I pulled into my driveway (tilted front up) on the drive home with less than 30 miles on the odometer. Talk about an "Oh crap what did I buy" moment.
The dealer did not top off the tank although there delivery prep sheet indicated that it was topped off. Seeing that this often happens, I believe that Ford just fills enough to make the light go out for the perverbial test drive...
I complained that the vehicle was not delivery prepped as presented by the sales staff and the dealer compensated with a free complete detail at the time of my chosing.
OP, just fill it to the top and the light should go out unless there is another issue (wiring/sensor bad).

That was the first, simplest thing I did: Added a pint or so to the reservior even though it looked mostly full. No luck.
Guess you missed the post where the mechanic found that the sensor pigtail was nearly completely unplugged.

I've had the front end off of my 2023 to install a baseplate, and do everything I can for myself. That's why I came here first, to see if this was a common issue I could resolve for myself. If it happens to my 10 month old 2023, I'll now know to look for the pigtail myself

Just sad that such is life any more.

I agree. It is either careless assembly (your nearly unplugged pigtail issue), or minimally filled (my issue both from factory/dealer).
Both appear to be fairly common and neither one should occur upon delivery. Good to see yours is fixed.
And, I love the Alto Blue photo in your profile. Good showing of the true "blue" color which it is. (Mine is also Alto Blue).

Tiny issue, but I haven't seen it posted before. The truck only has 28 miles since delivery. My wife drove it to the library and when she started it to head back, the screen lit up with a warning that the windshield washer fluid was low. We have not used the washer, and it seemed fairly full when we checked it. We got about a pint into it, thinking they might have failed to fill it, but the warning screen and light are still on. Seems like either a faulty sensor or an unplugged one.

Anyone seen this before?

Salesman got me an appointment tomorrow morning to get it looked at! Gotta love small dealerships.
Had this happen on my new Mav too. Literally 10 minutes after leaving the dealership. I bought a jug of fluid and the truck drank most of it. Haven't had the notice again since. I assume dealerships are skimping everywhere they can to help their margins. Only putting in just enough fluid to get rid of the notice.

They also tried to send me out the door with 10 miles of gas in the tank. Damn dealerships are getting stingy with their liquids.

My reservoir was pretty full. It was the wiring.

I had a nice full tank of gas when delivered, as usual. Love my dealer.

Now I'm a bit annoyed. I looked at the mechanic's work. There are three pins to hold the inner wheel liner in place that he had to pull out to fix the connector. Two pins (top and bottom) are one style of push pin; the middle one is different...at least that is how the unmolested driver's side liner is set up.

I found the liner NOT tucked back in, in the middle, as it should have been; the middle connector hole had the bottom connector stuck in it, and the bottom hole then also had the wrong connector...that wasn't able to be pushed in all the way BECAUSE IT IS THE WRONG ONE!

So....hopefully, they can manage better in the future, but I'll be double-checking their "quality" work.
What are the chances he was at least mentally making fun of the assembly guy doing a bad job with the pigtail, if not grumbling out loud about losing money on a warranty repair.
And then does that.
