The "leather" seats on my wife's Maverick Lariat do not compare to the real leather seats in my F150 Lariat. I do not really like them and they always look like something is wet on them in the Maverick which is kinda frustrating with my OCD lol. Not sure if there is some type of product that could be applied to avoid this issue of mine.
Go through and deep clean the seats thoroughly with a wet vac then apply some of this-

Apply it before you go to bed, then wipe it down gently with a soft cloth before you sit in it the next morning. Should give you that "Matte" look.

You probably don't want to put leather cleaners on non leather seats will make a mess.
https://favoredleather.com/can-i-use-leather-conditioner-on-faux-leather/

"This then damps a layer of conditioning oil on the surface of the leather which with time is going to attract debris and dust.

One way around this though is to make sure you thoroughly buff the surface of the conditioned faux leather item and allow it to properly dry before use."

One of the guys I used to work with detailed cars as a side hustle and recommended this stuff to me for my center console. The spot I rested my elbow used to get nasty and oily from all the dirt and grime. This worked wonders in getting rid of it.

As long as you stay away from the cheap stuff, you'll be fine. I should've included the "Buff the hell out of it" part, my bad.

Thoughts on the xlt seats vs lariat leather ones. Are the xlt seats good and comfortable?
We tried the XLT seats on a test drive. Not sure if they were the Lux version. My wife and I both preferred the Lariat's seats for comfort. Neither of us have complained about them being sticky here in Southeast Florida, except they they do get hot when I forget to put the sun shield in the windshield. Overall, they suit us just fine.

That's good info and all. But I will stick with products designed for synthetic interior surfaces just what works for me. I had a family member put leather cleaners ect on there active-x seats it was not fun to get it all off it was a big mess of dried an wet product.

My only disappointment with the XLT seats (I have a 2026 XLT w/uxury pkg) is the passenger seat no longer has a height adjustment...what a stupid place to save money...shame on you Ford! Any passenger over 5'5" feels like they are sitting way to high.

I had to move my '24 Lariat while i was working on it. I had a pair of 8 inch pliers, jaws down, in my right rear Levi's pocket. The pliers made a 1/32" hole through the seat cover. F_ck!! I have always preferred cloth seats but I wanted all the bells and whistles. I believe the cloth seats would have withstood the pliers in my jeans.

The girlfriend and I love the XLT cloth seats. Round trip to Tennessee from NY last year and drove it the whole week we were down there. Never had any complaints. I had "leather" in my 2012 Impala LTZ and I hated it! Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Not to mention when you're driving like Mario Andretti you slide all over the place 😂

I have the manual cloth seats in my XLT and my wife and I, both average height and weight, have no complaints. We've sat in them while traveling up to 16 hours in one day in comfort. I've never had any desire to own leather or faux leather seats and have not had any issue keeping cloth seats clean and in good shape.

I don't think there should be any concern about the durability of poly cloth seats in modern Fords. Here is a picture of the cloth seats in my 14 year-old Focus with 156,000 miles. They are like new except for some minor wrinkling of the driver's left bottom bolster. The material of the cloth XLT seats is very similar to these:

I’m with Glen above. I specifically chose the XLT trim for the cloth seats and a year and a half in I am grateful that I did. I have made several 500 or more mile trips in this time and have found the driver’s seat at least to be like sitting in a firm easy chair for the duration. I have been very comfortable and had very little fatigue, muscle/spine stiffness or back soreness after these trips.

My Lariat is a very comfortable ride. Yesterday, the wife asked Malibu or Maverick for a 50 mile trip. Without hesitation I said 'Maverick, it rides better.'

I had a Malibu rental after my accident last year. It drove nice but hated the seats. Chevrolet makes the seats too wide. Which may be nice for larger folks but for average folks not so great. That's another reason I didn't like the leather seats in my '12 Impala. Too wide and slid all over.

The cloth seats in our Impala was like a sofa - no complaints here. The Malibu is a Premier 2.0 Turbo (rare) with heated leather seats. Must be how they do leather.

Ahh ok, yea don't think the rental had a turbo but still got up and went. The Malibu had cloth seats but my Impala did have the heated leather. Only part I miss is the heat lol but with cloth seats it really isn't necessary.
