Xlt ecoboost awd delivery window?

I ordered my Area 51 ecoboost awd on 12/28. The dealership told me I should get it in April but no later then may. After reading multiple threads I’m doubting that very much. Thoughts?

Your doubts are correct. Granted you could get lucky. However I ordered November 3rd XLT Eco Boost and I'm still waiting on build date.

I don't know when you will get it but I ordered 10/12 for a XLT Fx4 Lux and have not been scheduled so I probably won't see mine until April or later.

You’re likely to get a build date by then. I ordered in July and got a scheduled build date by October and it was for November, granted my build was delayed 1 month because of the plant shutting down for a week but the time frame of when you should get a build date for an ecoboost is there

Dealership would not give me an estimated delivery date.
Called the Mav marketing team and they said to call back if I haven't been scheduled by early February.

That’s crazy I don’t know what my dealership is smoking.

I ordered the same basic spec (XLT EcoBoost AWD 4K) around Halloween and just got a build date for last week of Feb. Hope that is helpful. It sounds like there is a lot of uncertainty and luck of the draw as to when something gets built. I'm not in a huge rush to get it so I don't worry too much. I was originally told by my dealer it should take about 2 months or so, it's looking like 5 months at this point.

I currently have a 2002 Ford Explorer that is running on its last legs but my dad told me I could borrow his truck if it breaks down. I just don’t like borrowing others vehicles… plus it’s a Chevy 2500 with a lift and get like 14 mpg on a good day

You might get it by april or may. A lot of the people who have been waiting since june were either waiting for hybrids or had other constrained items on their order.
The other thing to remember is that they didn't even start building them in any numbers until what, october? There was a lot of backlog.

There are people who had similar builds to mine, who ordered around the same time who have build dates. I don't yet but it's just the vagaries of the allocation system coming into play.

As long as you don't have constrained items they should get it built.

Is the Mac marketing team a corporate group or part of your local dealership? If corporate what's the contact info?

Unless you are getting a used Tacoma, be prepared to wait as long or longer for it, the entire industry has minimum 3-4 month wait times right now.

I would switch to another dealer if they were going to lie to you like that.
