  1. I took a look at a Santa Cruz today - I was very impressed

To me the Santa Cruz is Pontiac Aztek level bad styling, I could not ever consider that. Plus I've just never had good luck with Hyndai (although most of my experiences are from way back in the day). And the Mav bed is already short, to me it feels like the absolute minimum length. I took a...
  2. 2,134 miles. 26.3 mpg overall. 71 mph moving average speed. 2.0L EcoBoost XLT Lux AWD FX4 Co-Pilot 360

I got 31 mpg on my first road trip with the same drivetrain - no passengers or cargo, no winds, no traffic, and rural highway (a "parkway" which I think is unique to the NE) on which it's best to keep under 65. For your trip, 26 seems pretty great.
  3. Any Uplifting Dealer Experiences

I had a great experience. Park Ford of Mahopac. Clear communication, zero games, zero add-ons, knowledgeable, positive. I paid sticker and 0%/36 which I had applied for back when placing my order. My total wait was 6 months. My wife and I were at the dealership for about an hour total, and...
  4. Don't ruin it for the old guys!

I don't get it. Are they marketing the Mav at all, to anyone? I haven't seen one single ad anywhere. And I don't see anything remotely hipster about the Maverick. It is pretty outdoor-lifestyle friendly but I guess if hikers are hipsters, everyone is a hipster. I figure they want to sell...
  5. I got mine!

Took delivery of my truck today - XLT Ecoboost AWD with 4k, sliding window and inverter, nothing else, in Carbonized Gray. Very pleased with it in today's driving around, lots to praise and only small complaints. I am extremely happy with how it handles and drives, which is paramount. I was...
  6. Ordered without ever driving one or even sitting in it. What a weird time we live in.

My wife and are both 6'1" We ordered after at least sitting in one (no test drive as it was someone else's already). I thought it was surprisingly roomy and well thought out inside especially for the price and feature set. We are both picky about headroom and we ordered one with no moonroof...
  7. Fulfilling 2022 orders

Theoretically sure you could wait for years. It hasn't been built yet and you have no sure way of ascertaining when that will happen. But what is much, much more likely to happen is that your vehicle will get built within a year (or much less), since you've already ordered and are waiting in...
  8. How many Mavericks have you seen?

One - I passed by the local dealer and it was on the lot, I made a mental note to stop in on my way back home but then I saw the new owner gassing it up when I drove back that way. Except for that, I sat in one at the dealer where I placed my order (build week should be next week...)
  9. Why didn’t you order a Maverick Hybrid ?

AWD and towing. Also the additional power and better suspension you get with the AWD package. Also the shorter wait (in theory! Still waiting). The EB AWD still gets better mileage than the vehicle it is replacing ('07 Odyssey), and our other "on order" car is an electric (VW id.4), and that one...
  10. Xlt ecoboost awd delivery window?

I ordered the same basic spec (XLT EcoBoost AWD 4K) around Halloween and just got a build date for last week of Feb. Hope that is helpful. It sounds like there is a lot of uncertainty and luck of the draw as to when something gets built. I'm not in a huge rush to get it so I don't worry too...
  11. 📣 1/13 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

I got sheduled today! (Well, yesterday). First post on this forum, haven't worked out the details of reporting this. Build week is 2-28. Ecoboost AWD 4k XLT Region: New York Color: Dark Gray (forgot the name) Ordered 10-29 So I guess that means I can expect it around the end of March? I still...
