Without angering those still waiting (and I do sympathize), I thought I should share that I took delivery of my AWD, 2.0 Ecoboost, XLT with FX4 package (also co-pilot 360, hard tonneau, power moon roof, manual rear sliding window). Placed my order on 6/18, production ended on 9/15, shipped on 9/21, and was delivered to central Arkansas on 10/7. The weekend interfered with their prep work, but my dealer turned it over to me today.

And here's my feedback on my dealer experience: top notch! Helped me place my order with an awareness of potential restraints (which helped ensure a quick build), didn't require a deposit, stuck to MSRP from start to finish, only added a $129 documentation fee (same I've paid on four previous vehicles purchased from them), gave me fair value for my trade, and got me the best available financing options. If you're in and around Arkansas, I'd highly recommend Cogswell Motors in Russellville. I know there are lots of horror stories out there -- but there are some great small town/home town dealers that can be trusted and do great work. Ford should be proud.

And yes, I love, love the Maverick. Exactly what I need and exactly what I wanted!

Great review of the dealer! Good to hear what you experienced. Great truck, nicely set up! Keep your impressions and pics coming as you start driving it. Also, tell us how it compares to your Ridgeline. Why did you get the Mav rather than a new Ridgeline?

This is me admiring your Maverick because those are some of the options I have on my Maverick order.

I went with the Mav over the Ridgeline for primarily two reasons: obviously, the Mav is much more affordable, but also the Mav gets significantly better gas mileage, even with the Ecoboost. I just don't need the towing power of the Ridgeline and felt the ride might be similar. So far, I would say that I prefer the handling of the Mav to the Ridgeline -- just more responsive steering, a little more pep, and a tighter turning radius. But don't get me wrong -- if I had money to spend and felt like gas prices would go down rather than up, I would have been more tempted to purchase another Ridgeline.

I didn't want to waste everyone's time with a long-winded review, but since you mentioned having similar options, I thought you might want some quick impressions. I have played with pretty much everything (the manual rear window, the moon roof, the tonneau cover, spray-in bedliner, rubber mats), and I'm really impressed. Don't get me wrong -- the Mav is not trying to be a luxury car. But everything has a similar vibe: simple, solid, well-constructed. It doesn't feel cheap. It feels dependable. For an affordable vehicle, I'm really impressed and pleased. I don't think you'll regret any of those add-ons.
