Has anyone had issues with the main screen on a 2024 XL? I connect my iphone and sometimes CarPlay will come up and sometimes not. If it comes up later it will shut off. Also at times it will disconnect my iphone. About 3 times now the whole screen has went black and then the Ford emblem will come up and then it's back on again. Just wondering if anyone else has had these issues.

No issues with Iphone connection, but a few glitches with the screen. So far I've encountered the radio not turning off with key out of ignition and door open. Had to restart and shut down vehicle to fix. This has happened at least twice in almost two years of ownership. Another time, I've had the screen go black while driving, but music from Iphone or radio still playing. Again, shut off vehicle and restart - screen restored. Last but not least, put it into reverse once and the camera view stayed with me throughout my drive into work. Neither the radio nor the Iphone would work during that time. Shut off truck at work and all was well.

Hi there! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so I can look into this screen concern? Thank you!

I finally got an appointment at the Ford dealer to deal with these issues. I was just wondering if other owners were having any issues like this. It's kind of frustrating to have this on a brand new vehicle you just got.

Did you try different cables? Many of them don't work well, if at all. ANKER brand on Amazon works well. Or get a new OEM cable.

Apple CarPlay won’t work without the phone being plugged in?

Have you tried a certified Apple cord?

EDIT: And I'm not trying to be dense. I agree - that the connection should not be that finnicky but the Maverick is interfacing with your phone and it is often the connection to the phone not allowing the CarPlay connection.

So you have the Maverick (Sync), a cord, and your phone and you've defaulted to the Maverick being the issue.

I have a $1,200 65" OLED TV, multiple Nintendo switch (for the kids) docks, and dozens of cheap ass HDMI cords.

Even though we're just dealing with a switch - if I don't use a high quality HDMI 2.0 cord - the image is pixelated with digital "static".

The cord makes a massive difference here.

Yes, but did you try an OEM cord? You may want to restart the panel by using the "right skip, power button press" routine.

And also, sadly...at this price point if THIS is very frustrating to you, you may want to look into another vehicle that isn't a Maverick lol. Maybe a Toyota Corolla or something.

If you cannot fix it with a quality cord and/or reset of the phone & infotainment system, not sure what to try.

My 4+ year old Pixel 4a connects very fast and works reliably, using a standard ANKER USB-C to USB-C cable. Bluetooth is equally fast, too.
