You can also get X-plan by joining the Mustang Club of America, but there is a waiting period after you join. X-plan doesn't save you much on a Maverick. You could probably save more with the Farm Bureau discount (which also has a waiting period...), or a student/military discount if that applies.

I think that MCA is a $35 membership as a digital member (was last time I looked). But you know, many dealers don't accept X-Plan...and VERY few would let you add it AFTER you had already ordered.
My X-plan 2023 saved me about $850 off of the truck and $499 off of the DOC fee here. My 2024 Lariat BAP will only save $570 plus $499. Can't add Farm Bureau discount with X-plan, but I'm hoping to add First Responder discount to it. That and Military and College are not precluded from being combined with X-Plan.

AND....a sucessful X-Plan purchase this evening with $500 First Responder rebate as well. $36301.21 for a 2024 Hybrid Lariat with BAP. MSRP is $37375. Normal $599 Doc fee reduced to $100. X-plan makes buying simple.

Beware most Xplan eligable orgs have a 90 day membership requirement for the discount. The Farm Bureau only 30. That's about the time you have.

Another thing to know is that when you buy with X-Plan, you are agreeing to keep the vehicle for at least 6 months:
  • Titling eligibility is as follows:
    • Vehicles must be retained in the customer's possession and registered as provided above for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease.
And no, it isn't terribly enforceable to YOU, but there can be repercussions to the X-Plan sponsor if you fail to comply.
What if a Customer Ignores the Conditions?
  • The purchase, lease and disposal of vehicles under the New Vehicle Purchase Program are monitored regularly for abuse through a computerized system. Customers who do not comply with the requirements noted above will be contacted and asked to explain the circumstances involved.
  • The privilege to participate may be withdrawn or suspended if Ford Motor Company and Lincoln Motor Company determine that the employee or retiree has violated the provisions of the New Vehicle Purchase Program or Ford Motor Company and Lincoln Motor Company policy. The employee, retiree or surviving spouse may be required to reimburse the Ford Motor Company and Lincoln Motor Company for the full amount of the dealer commission paid.
NOTE: Even if the customer who violates these provisions is not a Company employee, the sponsoring employee or retiree is responsible and subject to the above sanctions.

I was specifically told I could not combine military with X-plan. Or Farm Bureau with X-Plan. Or Farm Bureau with Military. Perhaps I was given false info from dealer. This was for 2023 model year.

You CAN combine Military/First Responder discount with X-Plan.
You CANNOT combine Farm Bureau with X-Plan. It specifically states that in the Farm Bureau certificate program.

You were told incorrectly. Now the Military discount sometimes changes in eligibility. Most of the time, you must have been discharged within 2 years...but once in a while, they open it to ANY Veteran. I missed that for both the vehicles I purchased via X-Plan (23 and 24). You can search through the Ford stuff online and take your findings to the dealer...but remember, the entire X-Plan is voluntary by the dealer. Only the Farm Bureau is excluded specifically.
