So i put an order in a 2 weeks ago with my closest ford dealership to me. Have friends who work there and serviced my Focus ST there for the few years I've owned it now. They don't seem to be wanting to accept the X-plan pricing. I know its not a huge savings off the baseline of the trucks ( CG Lariat, ECO, AWD ,FX4) but the not paying $700 in dealer fees is nice. That's the FX4 package pretty much. Current dealership wanted a $1500 refundable down payment, but says they will only charging MSRP and then there dealer fees, taxs, tag and title.

I found a dealership that will accept my X-plan and no other fees just tax, tag and title. BUT spoke with FORD ( not dealership) and only reservations can be have dealership changes and not orders. so id have to put my order in again and start my 2 week wait time over again.

my question is should I go through process of refunding deposit and putting new deposit on at another dealer for the x-plan? 10 mile difference from dealerships.

How much would you save with x plan total?

Haven't seen final number at the other place. But with dealer fee alone being capped at $100 max, it would be $600 saved there. They offer 4% off with x plan and it stops other fees from people applied unless I choose them. So around $1k to $1200.

Is that amount of savings worth starting over? Only you can decide. You are just 2 weeks in to the waiting period. It would be different if you were 2 months in. Keep in mind that there is no scheduling for the next 3 weeks. If it were me, I probably would go with the x plan knowing that the plan caps the fees
