So I ordered my Maverick the day the online confirmation was allowed. This was back in the spring; I received my truck mid Jan. When I ordered there was none on the lots to look at or test drive, this was a first for me.
The reason I ordered my hybrid, is because I average a 1000k a wk, and with my F150, I was paying upwards of $500-600 a month on fuel. Average price now a litre is $1.66, here in Sudbury.
For those 6-7 months I was so impatient, I looked and test drove many other vehicles, but none really checked all the boxes for my needs except the Maverick.
I was finally given a delivery date with 2 wks notice, for those 2 wks I thought of every reason to back out of the Maverick, (not as big and comfortable as the F150, no 4WD for the Canadian winters, no XM radio, etc etc)
The day I took delivery was the first time I had ever driven the Maverick. That test drive was in 10cm of fresh powder. Other than the stock tires, she exceeded my expectations., and two wks later I have NO regrets for having to wait 6-7 months for the delivery, or trading in my F150.
