So I ordered my Maverick the day the online confirmation was allowed. This was back in the spring; I received my truck mid Jan. When I ordered there was none on the lots to look at or test drive, this was a first for me.
The reason I ordered my hybrid, is because I average a 1000k a wk, and with my F150, I was paying upwards of $500-600 a month on fuel. Average price now a litre is $1.66, here in Sudbury.

For those 6-7 months I was so impatient, I looked and test drove many other vehicles, but none really checked all the boxes for my needs except the Maverick.
I was finally given a delivery date with 2 wks notice, for those 2 wks I thought of every reason to back out of the Maverick, (not as big and comfortable as the F150, no 4WD for the Canadian winters, no XM radio, etc etc)

The day I took delivery was the first time I had ever driven the Maverick. That test drive was in 10cm of fresh powder. Other than the stock tires, she exceeded my expectations., and two wks later I have NO regrets for having to wait 6-7 months for the delivery, or trading in my F150.

We have a similar story. We love our Mav and it was totally worth the seven month wait! Already added some aftermarket items with more arriving every week. It's driving my wife crazy but I can't help it! haha

What are you adding?
Tailgate assist, bed cover, SIBL, rear and front seat covers, Mav floor liners, front splash guards, and Mav sunshade. I want the cargo net, hood deflector, and door sill plates. Pretty much everything else too!

Hello Fellow Ontarian!
I can't wait for mine to come it's was built the 26th and shipped the 27th. As far as I can tell right now it's on a convoy in the USA. I have seen 2 at the dealership but haven't been able to test drive them and that is a first for me too. I feel for you with the price of gas we also have an F 150 because we are campers! I have a lot of accessories added to carts ! So many great ideas on this forum! Happy travels!

I'm in the same boat. F150 is killing me at the pump lately along with my daily 100 mile commute. I started a 6-month short-term lease on a Polestar 2 in October, anticipating a spring arrival of my Maverick but I don't think I'll see it until after I hit my 1 year anniversary of my order. Hopefully in time to get a winter wheel/tire pack ready for next winter!
