Technical ignoramus here. I gather it is possible to have a wireless connection from android phone to screen. (I know it works using a cord to the USB.) Does a wireless connection require a dongle (whatever that is)? Recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I tried several bargain dongles and no luck. That’s a great price on the Motorola so I ordered one today.

Wow. Price drop from 2022. I purchased mine for $99 at Amazon back then. Works great though.

I have a Moto MA1 and an AAWireless adapter. Both work great. I use the AAWireless in the Maverick.

If you ever plan on, or anyone that rides with you uses an iPhone, the AA wireless works with Apple CarPlay as well.

Gullzway, can you pair two phones to the AA dongle simultaneously? Not that both would be connected with the infotainment center at the same time, but that if I had an Android and my wife had an I Phone, could either connect automatically if either of us drove the truck? If so, and both of us were in the truck at the same time, is there way to set priority? Example, if it's my truck, my phone would have priority if both phones were present.

Thanks for any info!

Yes. I use an Android as my main phone, but also have an iPhone 13 mini I use at the gym other for other things. Both are paired to the AAWireless.

It seems like whichever one connects first is the one that comes up on the display. There is a setting to set the priority, but it doesn't always work and sometimes the iPhone will connect when I have both phones. Not sure why.

You can open the AAwireless app and select takeover, and it will switch to Android Auto.

The AA wireless also puts out device updates frequently to address issues. As far as I know the Moto MA1 doesn't put out updates or have an app.

+1 on the AAWireless adapter. You have options for small issues that show up. And they do updates. My Motorola has not had an update and it shows with new versions of Android Auto
