And no more gaping gap for snow and ice to fall in to! This

was the only snow shield I found that was advertised specifically for the Ford Maverick. It arrived this morning and I put it on -- good timing as it's snowing out right now. It's a perfect, tight fit and very easy to put on because it fits the Mav so well. The stretch cords for the mirrors and wheels are a bonus, and should keep it from blowing off in the howling winds. It gets two frost bitten thumbs up. (y)🥶👍

I have used one of these, here in Illinois, for years. I recommend one that has the mirror covers. The only issue is that over time or if not put on correctly, snow will get in from the top. It then melts and freezes. The cover than sticks to the window and runs the risk of tearing it. Overall, I like these when its going to snow while I'm at work. The best part is after your done wiping off the snow from the roof, you just grab one side and walk around. all the snow just falls off.

I always wondered....those ears that go into the door between the moulding. Does water ever seep in through there?

Hmm,seems like a good idea for a Xmas present but I can't picture my wife taking this off covered in snow and storing it every morning before she leaves for work.

I've never had an issue with seepage.

There's nothing better than taking it off after an ice storm and not having to deal with scraping the windshield and sweeping the snow out of the hood gap!

That thing is tiny. Mine covers a lot more like halfway across the roof and hood as well as the mirrors. Not sure what brand as it was a Christmas gift a couple years ago, but it was for a full size truck and all I do is tighten it a bit more.

I've only used it a couple times though, since now I have a carport and am looking to build a nice size heated garage in it's place.

I've never had a problem on my Hyundai. I've used them for about 8 years. I used to have to park outside.

I believe my dad got mine as a gift from Meijer grocery store.

Based on YOUR recommendation, I ordered one that should arrive the 11th. No pressure, but my attorney would like your Social Security Number.

Or why they aren't longer to cover the front door windows too

I ordered the shield from Amazon 12/9, came in 12/18. I added the towels because I think the strap buckle would scratch the fenders? Seems like it should work ok.

Interesting. I just double checked mine, the straps on my cover do not have buckles they're just soft elastic.

I put the lower plastic hook through a wheel gap and strap it back on the elastic cord. The buckle is not a good "upgrade" and could scratch, so your towel is a good idea.
