Have noticed my Mav tends to be a bit of a bug graveyard, especially when driving at dusk. The lower valence especially.

I can tell you my windshield seems to be a rock magnet though...

Yea, it seems like these windshields are very soft.

Love bugs sort of look like lightning bugs but are usually hooked up in twos as they mate . Florida use to have cleaning stations ( not sure if they still do ) at their rest areas because the bugs would totally cover windshields and wipers/ fluid wouldn't clear them . They are attracted to noise so as you cut the lawn with mower they come out .
They don't bite or sting just a nuisance .

Haven‘t seen very many in my area so far this time around! Killed a few at Legoland over the weekend.

By the way, FWIW like the Zenomorph in the Alien movie series they have molecular acid for blood.
Eats right through your paint in no time if left on in the sun.

Did u guys know that the love bug was created in a Lab by College Idiots trying to make a bug that eats mosquitoe larvae ?

Yeah and the oh shit moment happened when they turned them loose.

All they do is make love, hence the name.
