You didn't mention the extra coverage in original post. Sounds like you are covered 1 way or the other. Now just a lot of waiting while behind the scenes communication and paperwork sorted out.
Will do. We have a high mileage extended warranty that we Pay $66 a month for plus it is a $500 deductible. Already lost $700 in wages that day, and had to pay $631 to have it towed back to local dealership. Hoping no more out of our pocket. I thank everyone for their input.

No, not hosed. This warranty will cover up to 300k miles and 13 years. We do about 60k to 70k Mike's a year. The Ford warranty would have expired with only about 2 years of use.

$66 a month for extended warranty? Appears you were completely hosed with that “extended warranty”. A Ford ESP would have been less that half the cost with a minimal deductible.
It's not a click bait, it's a legitimate question. Why should I use my warranty, I pay extra for. If it is covered under the manufacturer. Or why should my dealership pay for it with theirs, if it is covered under manufacturer warranty. My other warranties have nothing to do with, if the manufacturer will cover sonething. Thank you for taking the time to answer the question at hand. It was done with the utmost intelligence and research.

I might look into AAA. If they do long distance tows. My warranty does local only
AAA Platinum level does 1 tow a year at up to 200 miles and 3 or 4 others for up to 100 miles. Just FYI.
This was about 120 Miles. So would've covered. We go out about 300 miles.
I know they have 3 different levels of coverage and we carry the largest distance due to being a traveling tech.
