Thanks for the information/great news. I am a F stockholder, so I am very interested in this x plan. From research on the Ford website, I see that you have to obtain a PIN to use in the order process. However, the website says thst the C-Plan is offered “to the employees, retirees, spouses and other household members”…. It requires you to provide employees name & address and your proof of address. Or if a membership program you have to provide a membership card.

it doesn’t say anything about stock ownership. How do you use stock ownership to qualify?
There was a post specific to that. You need a minimum of 100 shares as I recall. Not sure what to search for.

I think many people are under the impression that because they have already ordered a 2022 Maverick (with or without deposit) that their price is locked in. Not so. There is nothing to prevent Ford Dealerships from changing the MSRP charging ADM on 2022 Mavericks that have already been ordered.
Fixed that for you.

And to prevent Dealerships from charging more get a signed "Buyers Order" and you have your price locked in.

They have already raised the price of the truck by $645 calling it the acquisition fee . this fee was not on the truck I order in june (cancelled) or the truck I got on 10\30 .
The $645 "calling it the acquisition fee" is because you selected Lease instead of Finance on the build page. Click on the calculator and select Finance and the $645 goes away.

My dealer told me the price is locked in from the day I ordered. Price Protection. If it doesn't get here until next August, I will still get the price when it was ordered.

Steering wheel may be optional on '23 XL models.

Rumor has it, Furd is bringing back hand-crank windows and inner tubes.

Its hard to say. Obviously they will have to raise the price eventually, but part of fords marketing is the $19,995 base price tag, which nobody actually gets since they have to pay the $1495 transportation fee. So maybe they will try and keep the base vehicle the same price and increase the cost of packages/addons? who knows.

Yes. The price will definitely increase for 2023, but you'll get better resale down the road.

Forget the windows, base XL next year will have a hand crank starter. But it will be below $20k.

If you ask around there are several ways to acquire an X plan pin. Owning stock is one, if you know a friend of a friend at Ford, X plan is easy. The advantage is pre determined prices, limits on documentation fees. The Ford site actually has a document pre printed for you and a dealer representative to fill out and sign with pricing.
what is x-plan?

MSRP will go up, no question.
The only reason to wait is if you don't really need a car right now and you want to wait for a proper electrified version of the maverick. With a hybrid reservation in July I expect the vehicle in March-June 2022 if I by then a plug-in or fully electric version of compact truck from ford or other OEM is announced it would be tempting to just wait a bit longer...or you just buy it and trade it in.
I’m not interested in an electric vehicle. My wife and I can wait. We wanted to be one car for awhile after I had a bad wreck. But I’m so down for the 20k price thats what interests me.

I want a Maverick. I've had my eye on one for months now, but we're still a few months out from being able to buy one.

I understand that dealers can add their own markups and all that.

But does anyone know if the MSRP will increase? Do OEMs do that? If I wait to order a 2022 Maverick for a few months, could I end up with a higher MSRP?

Trying to decide if waiting is a bad idea in the long run.
Put an order in. These prices will not last. If you order a hybrid now, you will not see it for several months so you will have time to get your finances together. And you will have the price locked in. If you can't get finances together or change your mind, the dealer will gladly take it. If you wonder about the quality of the advice, I am a retired Chief Financial Officer and an owner of many trucks for over 50 years.

If I meant "dealership" I would have used the word "dealership". If I meant "ADM" I would have used "ADM". Let me repeat for the "clueless" (seems to be a tactful word you use a lot in your trolling). There is nothing to prevent "Ford" from changing the "MSRP" .
Let me know if you still don't understand.
