Why not just put a Battery Tender Jr on it?

I have a Battery Tender Jr on my RAV4, Civic, Polaris Slingshot and Yamaha. They are plugged in 24/7 and I have never had an issue with a battery. The batteries also last WAY beyond the expected replacement date.
My question is, why not hook one up to the jump posts under the hood OR to the underseat battery if you want to run the cable? Just seems like the under hood would be easier and cleaner. I would think that would end the "deep sleep mode" problem.
Or is this solution just too easy?

If you are talking about the issue with the dead hybrids it seems from another forum on here that Ford now has a TSB to fix the issue.

You can do this, but the problem is deeper rooted than the battery, iirc it’s a bad solder joint on one of the cables. Tender won’t fix that.

If you’re not driving often

I was thinking about that. Making a weatherproof connector sticking out of the grill to make it easy.
