A buddy gave me one. The solar cell measures about ish 5”x 16”
And I plugged it in my cigarette lighter in my 2004 Escape. I tossed the cell on the dashboard.
It sits a lot, it’s a bad weather back up car.
It pushed voltage for five hours in mostly sunny weather and raised my resting voltage from 12.21 to 12.36.
The battery was peaked two weeks ago to a resting voltage of 12.65. It’s a four and a half year old Interstate.
We shall see.
Note:
Its output was 16.7 volts and that’s fine on my flooded battery.
But from what I’m reading AGM’s are better taken care of with a 14.0 VDC charge level.
Just sayin…
