im a B if i wait past that the price of gas goes up it seems .Besides it dosent cost as much to fill up when your on a pension

I used to fill up when the tank was at half. Wife is not driving her Honda CRV right now because of health problems. My Mav is a third vehicle so I now have 3 vehicles with one driver (me). For now I am filling them up when they hit 3/4s of a tank just to put fresh gas in. I also have my 1967 Shelby that I have been enjoying more so actually 4 cars!

The whole "freshness of gas" thing went away when they started making gas tanks air tight. It's no longer a thing.
Moisture can not get in. And the volatile compounds that make gas so good for MPG can't evaporate.
EPA did it for air pollution reasons but it does keep the gas "fresh" for a year or longer.
Air tight "zero evaporative emissions" is the key, and is part of why your truck tests for a loose or missing or malfunctioning gas cap or filler.

Actually no.
Ethanol has the ability to remove water from gas tanks. As does any alcohol.
Please look up products such as "heet" you add to your gas to remove water.
They are alcohol. Usually methanol to keep people from drinking the stuff.
