I’m not sure if you guys had the same experience, but I was trying to get splash guards on my XLT and they told me it would push it back till early 2022. I think accessories are gonna be a big determining factor in dates. Obviously, I just passed on the guards and that pushed it up. Can’t wait to get my hands on this thing!

I think those are dealer installed anyway, so you can use points to buy them when available if you want.

I suspect that 2.0T and 2.0T AWD will be built first due to engines, transmissions and differentials being mature and on hand.

I expect minor birthing difficulties with the new transmission line for the hybrid.

A program manager would account for that.

I forgot, I did opt for the full size spare. I’m also wanting to get a teardrop trailer that’s why I wanted the 4K towing package.

I am also thinking of getting a teardrop trailer, but I’m getting the hybrid, looking to getting one around the 1k lbs range so that I can tow with the hybrid.

I don't think anyone at this time knows the priority of builds. It depends on too many factors. But all things being equal, if I were in charge at Ford, I would look at the bottom line. It seems to make sense to me that in most cases (not all, but most), the higher the price tag the more profit you make. The fancier it is, the more public appeal it will carry. I would fill the most expensive builds first. That means Lariat and those with the most options going to the front of the line. From a business perspective, I want to pocket the most profit as soon as possible and I would want to go before the public with my fanciest model. Of course, the fact that I have on order a Lariat that is pretty well loaded did not influence what I just said - not much anyway!
Yes, Marty is right. This is where the bean counters take over. They have years of journals and ledgers that will tell them exactly where their bread is buttered. As one of the few XL buyers, I am hoping that they do what my Dealer told me and built the ORDERED trucks first before they start building inventory cars. Of course they are going to build demo trucks for each dealer, so I don't know where my XL is going to fit in the scheme. And, of course, my dealer tells me what I want to hear.

I'm at 20380 with destination. I would love to be under 20k. Area 51 xl with rear power outlet. Maybe they'll start at the bottom up.

Almost as barebones as i can get.

Got to thank Ed and the rest of Chapman on the incredible deal.
How did you get such a low price? That seems about $1100 below sticker. I'm guessing you ordered a bare bones, XL Hybrid.

I went with Ed over at Chapman. He saved me a lot of money. Give him a call.

I got the xl with the outlet that's all.

Have you priced shipping a vehicle lately? The cost would eat up most of the savings.
Search these forums for Courtesy Delivery. Many dealerships will accept deliveries for other dealers for a nominal fee. Fleet Managers, so I understand, are the ones to talk to at the dealership.
