I ordered my Maverick back in September and still don't have an order number or VIN. I am getting frustrated because I now see dealers all over my area (150-200) miles that have '23's for sale to the public. What gives? Has anyone else had this experience like me?
This is one of the funniest things I have seen on this forum.
For perspective, I ordered my Maverick in Septembers of 2021 (a year prior to you) and just got my vin and build timeline.

Agreed. The OP is going to have a very rough life if they are already wringing their hands over "how long it has been".

Ford really should have delayed taking new 2023 orders until January. There would be less gnashing of teeth for the poor folks who have waited nearly a whole 6 months!!!! Today is day 482 for me and I certainly have not had the longest wait.

You’ve got to be kidding. Mine took 10 months and many are still waiting over a year now. It’s not an Amazon order, best advice I have is chill and hibernate for a while unless your Extremely Lucky

It never ceases to amaze me how confusing Ford production is. I have seen numerous postings on this forum where individuals who ordered after me have already received their vehicles. Hearing that causes me to start whining and sniveling. Gets very discouraging to say the least. Now I read your story about ordering back in Sep 21 and you just got your VIN and build timeline. Doesn't make any sense to me. I ordered a month after you, Oct 21, and my vehicle is built and in the process of being shipped. Currently stuck in Phoenix, where it has been sitting for over a week. I don't understand why you didn't get yours built before me. You should have! Don't get me wrong here, I'm delighted that after 508 days of waiting as of today, I am optimistic about getting my vehicle in the not too distant future. Oldest orders should be built first. Those getting their vehicles who ordered in September 22 is uncalled for. I'm happy for them, but come on now, give me a break. An order one year older that is just getting a VIN and soon a schedule build date is ridiculous. I feel for ya. I at one time never thought I would be joining the 500 club. So here I am at 508 days since my order and still waiting. All I can say is, hang in there. Your day will eventually get here. We can't get discouraged when we hear about the newer orders getting their vehicles before us. I don't even think Ford could explain how this happening. 🤔

Um....he did not say he ordered in Sept 21... By all counts, I believe he is a Sept 2022 order.

I'm sorry. My mistake. I had the understand it was a September 21 order I was addressing. I'm bad. What can I say? Point still applies, oldest orders should be processed before newer orders. This includes me. I don't think there are many orders older than mine at this time. If so, they should be processed before me and others. I am delighted though my Maverick is finally built. I can hardly stand it, knowing it is built and is just sitting in the rail yard in Phoenix. 508 days and still waiting. 😞

Just log into my Ford account and low and behold," Your truck has been built and is awaiting shipment." Just popped up. Can't believe it is actually going to get here. Hope springs eternal!!!!!

Follow UP!!!!!!!! Got an email at 7:05 ET last night that we have shipped. Estimated arrival time to lovely Estero, Florida is 4/07-4/20. Seems like a long delivery time but what the heck waited this long.
