depending where you live, you can make between 6-10k profit (after tax and license). Easy money. Just take delivery. If you have the cash, pay for it in cash (less headache). In california you have to wait until the license plates arrive before you can sale it. See how much the usual suspects (carvana, carmax etc) pay. Hybrids are in crazy high demand. Check the price sof used Maverick hybrids in your area. there are hardly any and they all want crazy numbers for their cars. Don't look at the new car prices online. Most of them are fake. When you call, they will tell you about the markup or dealer add ons.

I wouldn't do anything until the truck is delivered. Then just call the dealer tell them you bought a truck because the wait was so long and you aren't sure which one you want to keep. At that point there is a good chance you can sell it right back to the dealer and make a quick couple grand for a an hour of your time in the finance office. They are gonna mark it up 5-10k anyway so you might as well get a piece of that.

I was thinking same thing. Offer it to the dealer before you register for a couple $$$. They sell it new, you don't pay taxes. Win win

Do not listen to these people who tell you to offer to sell a truck - that you don't own - to a dealership that does own it. That is a terrible idea as there is no obligation to sell it to you.

Buy it, then negotiate. The dealer might buy it back from you, but you would also likely make more elsewhere.

The Colorado was a good choice. I had a 2018 "100 Year Edition" Z71 and just loved it. You'll be very happy with your Chevy.
About the XL. I say do a solid for fellow members . . . buy the Maverick and offer it to the forum. If you want to make a grand for your troubles, I'm thinking there are members here who wouldn't have a problem with that.
