Does the Maverick have a Tire Pressure Monitor System? Either way I’ll buy a cheap air pump/ slim hit if a tire is just low and I can add pressure to make it to a tire store or home. I’ve literally had this happen twice in the last 6 weeks on my BMW that doesn’t have a spare. Pump saved me even when the tire was completely flat it got me home after pumping it up (3 miles from home).
Somewhere in this forum, someone mentioned that all vehicles since 2008 have had to have the tire pressure monitor system as standard equipment.

Years ago I had a diesel suburban. I always carried lots of tools. When I got a 4runner I didn't need them. Now when I get a Maverick looks like I'll need to carry a lot of tools. Plus a jump starter. Sigh. Come on FORD get it together.

I have a pretty adventurous life and I try to stay ready for spontaneous adventure....or disaster. I could probably do a bit better if I really thought it all out, but generally in all of my vehicles I always carry:

Machete
Pop up tent
Sleeping bag
Small duffle with various clothing items (hoodie, t shirts, socks, drawers, hats, jeans, belt, etc)
Spare 9mm Pistol and 3 full mags + cross-shoulder bag for it + box of 50 additional rounds
Earplugs and earmuffs
Small socket set
Pliers / Screwdrivers / big hammer
Prybar (pvc or metal tube)
Additional bottle jack
Various non-perishable(ish) food items
Water
Rope / paracord / tow strap
Small aluminum fuel bottle +funnel
Camp chair
Small tackle box with small folding fishing rod + filet knife
Giant roll of duct tape
Small first aid kit
Extra lighters
Sunblock
Bug spray
Compressor
Trailer hitch and 2 balls for it
Big ass adjustable wrenches
Jumper cables
Towels
Flashlight
Power bank for recharging phones, etc
Actual old school TomTom GPS (just in case, the thing always works)
Tarp
Shop towels
Flat tire repair kit

I think that is all I have in my current car. For the Maverick, I think I can maybe even stash a "truck gun" behind the rear seat. My idea is to always have a very basic AR behind the seat, but it will be in two parts: the barreled upper in a black plastic blueprint container (looks non descript) and the lower receiver assembly in another small black case. Both of those will somehow get mounted to the backwall. OR, and it looks like this might be possible, slide them kind of under the back seat behind the storage bin. Looks like there will be room judging by how the jack sort of fits under there:

I'd also like to figure out a way to key lock the storage compartment under the rear seat as well as somehow locking the fold-down because securing firearms is important to me. Someone will say yOuR tRuCk Is NoT a HoLsTeR... - OK - maybe it is, maybe not, but it is a "stash spot" for sure.
This is what i use for my handguns: https://vaulteksafe.com/products/vaultek-slider-series/
