I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago driving home from errand and did not return since. Weird 
I believe that's part of the cross-traffic alert system. If no one was around and didn't go away, check your bumpers to see if there is dirt/debris over the sensor area messing with it. Hit any puddles before it happened?
