What is this green tab?

I looked at an xl in the dealership and it had this too. Salesperson had no idea. What is this for? It's above my left rear tire.

I wonder if that is something from production to allow access without battery power that is intended to be removed. The owner's manual doesn't mention it, only the levering tool included in the jack kit to pry the hybrid fuel door open.

It's like the Pull inside your trunk so you can't get accidentally locked in your trunk. Same way that you can always get gas no matter what
