What has been your experience with the factory tires?

I take off the factory tires immediately and sell them. Usually get $300-$400 for the set. I'll be selling the 18" Michelins that came on my XLT shortly and will most likely get $400 for them. I'll just put it toward my next set of Falkin Wildpeak A/Ts.

43k on OEM Continentals, not to the wear bars yet. Bought some new X Tour A/S 2 Michelins for $450, have them waiting for install after a few thousand more miles on the OEM tires. Hoping to get 100k+ out of the Michelins.

Hi all, I am from Texas and just got my Mav XLT, 1k miles on the OEM Continentals and planning to drive to Colorado during Christmas. I am going to get the chains to go up for hills but any advice whether I need to change out the OEM tires before the trip? Thanks.
