I did read some old treads on driving mode selections. After reading what I could find still haven't found a convincing answer.

So, with my Maverick with 4K/Toe/Haul mode I don't have a snow mode. What is the best mode selection for snow or heavy snow?

slippery in most cases, sand or normal mode if you have snow tires or 3pms rated all terrain and you (edited) want some wheelspin. With the right tires, wheelspin in deep snow isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Thank You very much!!

One more question what driving modes does a Maverick have if they don't have the tow/haul mode with the 4K?

Depends on the model. I have an FX4 without 4K tow. I have Normal, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud & Ruts, and Sand.
I used Forscan to add eco and sport

Sorry, I have a XL 2.0 EB with 4k. So, would I have for modes if I didn't have tow/haul mode?

Thank You!

If you have 4K, why wouldn't you have tow/haul mode? Did you eliminate it via Forscan for some reason?

No, I have a tow/haul mode on my selection group. What 5 modes does an EX have when it doesn't have the tow/haul mode that is equipped with the 4K package??

Does the XL have a snow or sand mode what other than the tow/haul??

No one has a “snow” mode. “Slippery” is the mode for that, regardless of trim level.

The drive modes start on page 230 in the owners manual if you want an idea of what else is out there.

Does adding those 2 modes affect the warranty at all?

get to know forscan and add the extra modes. I actually found mud/rut mode had the best traction for me because it immediately reduced throttle input, keep it in a lower gear longer before shifting, and splits power to about 50/50 without the clutch having to decide what to do first. If it's light fluffy snow, then the sand mode works well because it allows for more tire spin

I have Forscan and am familiar with it but I'm an new to the Maverick scene (just picked it up a week ago). Is there a Excel sheet out there with the parameter changes? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Here is the FORSCAN master List for Mavericks

edit: Just the stupid Seatbelt Minder screen delete was worth reading it.

Mud/Rut mode -
I went to a local fair last year after several days of rain. As we entered the parking area, traffic was being "sorted" due to the mud. Any 2 wheel drive vehicle was sent around the mud and any 4WD was sent through the bog that had formed in a low lying area of the lot. Many trucks had been through it and the ruts were several inches deep. I really didn't want to go through it, but they had these guys who were covered with mud that had a backhoe and nylon straps to hook to you if you didn't make is so.... eh. What the heck. They looked like they were having fun.
Switched to mud/rut mode and brought up the intelligent 4WD screen.
I was simply amazed. I just drove through it like nothing. No wheelspin, no mud fling onto the fenders. The 4WD screen was a dancing show of red and green spikes from each wheel as power/brakes were applied.
The mud rats were as amazed as I was that I didn't get stuck or even spin a wheel.

Look in the Forscan forum, if it isn’t a sticky, it is often updated and should be near the top.
