I have my Hybrid, received 12/22. I love reading what other hybrid owners impressions are and Trey, I really liked yours. Mine sat in the garage until Jan. 2 because of the terrible road conditions here. I have found that the front wheel drive handles very well in snow and icy conditions. I have a private extremely long steep hill that I drive down leaving the house. I find putting it in Low and just barely feathering the brakes works like a charm. Also going back up that hill, the fwd really gives it a great deal of traction even with the OEM tires. I've had no problems with the radio and linking my iPhone thru bluetooth works even better than in my 2016 Focus. Like you, I find the radio satisfactory for now. My biggest learning curve is starting the truck. I just keep expecting it to act like the cars I've always driven! It is so cool though ;) .
Thank you guys for your service!

Oh, there will definitely be pics shared!!

"slowly making it's wait through the factory"

That may have been a typo, but if so it's definitely a fabulous Freudian typo! 🤣 Thanks for making today's wait a little easier.

Got link for the LED bulbs you chose?
Here's the light bulbs I've picked up for the 3rd brake light and reverse lights of course I haven't installed them yet. The other two links are for lights that others have posted as using on their Mavericks. Be aware that when you look on Amazon, it may state that the product doesn't fit a Maverick, this is usually because the page hasn't been updated.
If I can find the different post again where folks have used these items I'll send you the links to them so you can read them and judge for yourself which would be best for your Maverick.

Thank you so very much! I want to see how bright the lights the Maverick comes with actually are before deciding whether to swap them out. But it's very good to know there's a way to make them brighter if desired!

I've added them to my file.
That highmount brake light is very tempting indeed!

Thankfully, I bookmarked some of the threads and located the others! Here are threads with the different lightbulbs changes, scroll through the thread to get the total picture. The LED upgrade on the backup and 3rd brake light is certainly one I'm going to do!

You say if you don’t use it for a few days it will run ice until the battery is charged. I wonder if I will run into an issue. I typically only drive maybe 10 miles a week all on one day. We usually use my wife’s mini van when we go places. Sounds like the hybrid battery might be dead all the time in my case.
Why get the hybrid? You'll save literally 6 gallons of gas per year.

Great review OP, Couple things.

For those of you who give your 2 cents on the oil change. Start a new Oil change thread and leave your opinions out of other peoples threads. If he wants to change his oil at 5 miles, he can.

The Hybrid interior heats quickly because it has a heat exchanger in the exhaust system. Cool idea, but I can only imagine what it would cost to replace if it every needed replacing
Wild. I thought I also read something about a heat exchanger for the battery coolant but that seemed surprising. So, it's like an air-cooled VW? If it rusts out, you get a cabin full of exhaust!

Price of the hybrid is less then the eco. Plus we will probably start using it more than the mini van and my current suv only gets 14-15mpg...

The heat exchanger heats coolant which is pumped back to the heater core.

He also saved $1085 by not getting the EcoBoost Maverick.

Don't forget the upfront money saved before you buy any gas.

Noticeable with no radio. Not worth mentioning if radio is running. What is noticeable is how quickly the cabin cools off or heats up if climate control is turned off. Near zero insulation
Yikes. Don't like the lack of insulation thing. 😫

You must not drive much. Assuming 11,500 miles a year is an ok you save almost 50% with Hybrid combine 37 and eco 25 mpg. That is roughly in the example 150 gallons of savings every year plus the additional price of the eco boost. Not major money but is nice to save some money. Then if something bad happens the hybrid is not as dependent on the grid for a major electric disruption where we can drive at low speeds and braking to keep the battery charged until power comes back and gas stations can pump fuel.

Guess it personal choice but the up front money and around $500 a year is not bad, plus you get to go green by having a self charging battery without going all in on an electric and still being better for the environment.

Dude, I can do the math. Look at the post I quoted: "I typically only drive maybe 10 miles a week all on one day."

Hmm. This might be build quality differences or something. The couple of times I've had to use the heating, after a bit always managed to be able to lower it and eventually turn it off. Only had to turn it back on when I opened the door.

For reference, it was low 20s and I have it set to 72 inside the truck. Driving around ~50 mph.
