I'm an October 23rd order. Hybrid XLT with Lux package.

After 3 months I decided to go talk them to see if I should drop any extras to get a better chance of getting scheduled. Mainly the roll-up cover as I do not really want to drop the lux package. Here is what I was told:
  • they had over 100 orders and all but 10 of them were hybrid
  • hybrids got a late start due to the OKTB order
  • they have not delivered any hybrids yet outside of a few fleet sales
  • I asked how many allocations they have and was told that they do not know. Ford does not tell them. Not sure I believe this
  • some '22 orders will be converted to '23
  • they also told me that changing any options wouldn't matter
The only thing that stuck out to me is that they have not had any hybrid orders fulfilled. I don't know what to believe...

I would have a pound of patience and believe an ounce of what you hear.JMHO

But your dealer has delivered hybrid orders. Just because they are fleet orders, that doesn't mean they don't count as delivered orders.

I'm still not convinced that Ford is going to need to convert any 2022 orders to MY 2023. They shut down the order pipeline very early in the model year. I would like to think that those dates (11/15/21-H & 1/27/22-EB) were selected specifically because they know (based on available information) that they can deliver the orders placed up to that point. If that weren't the case, why would they stop taking orders at all?

Thanks for the post. I fully expect some MY22 to be converted to MY23. The real question is "how many?". When Hybrid orders were stopped in November, I expect Ford had some optimistic plan to fill all the orders by September. However, "best laid plans of mice and men". Between plant closures, further chip delays, gas tank recall, unexplained electrical problems, etc., I expect Ford is WAY behind where they expected to be with Hybrid Maverick orders by now. When I placed my order on Oct 1, I originally expected to see my new Maverick around April/May. After the delayed OKTB, that moved to May/June. at this point, the tea leaves seem to be pointing to "late summer". Personally, I am hoping to be moved to MY23 (assuming it is fully price protected). I would rather be the first MY23 than the last MY22 just due to future value (while I don't plan to ever sell my Maverick, if I were ever involved in an accident, then that might make a $1k+ difference in insurance adjustment).

I called my dealer today and got a better perspective on the progress of my early July Maverick hybrid order. He usually tells me "it won't be long" but I pressed harder and he said I was 8th in the cue at the dealer and still listed as "unscheduled clean". He stated that 6 of the trucks in front of me were scheduled and I should get scheduled in next dealer allotment (no specifics available). The real kicker is that they have received only 3 Mavericks this year. Knowing that Mavericks are being scheduled for April and I am still unscheduled makes me think it will be late summer before I even have a chance of getting my Maverick. Not good news...

Demand was more than Ford expected. It's been announced that they don't have enough parts to fulfill the orders with Lux packages unless enough people start dropping them from their existing orders. Late orders are looking more and more that they will be moved to 23.

90 hybrid orders and none fulfilled?
My dealer probably didn’t have that many hybrid orders, yet I took delivery in early January of mine.
That dealer must not be good luck.

I’m just wondering if they placed all those orders correctly. I had to call 2 weeks after I originally placed my order as I did not receive a confirmation email. After I called, I got the email from Ford within 30 minutes.

Just gonna be up front with you about my situation and how that relates to yours. We have the exact same build, I place my order June 12 2021. I have had no updates whatsoever and most likely not getting a build date for another couple months. Given that your order was placed in October you will likely be switched to a 23 model. I do not work for Ford but I can guarantee you will not be receiving your maverick any time soon. Not sure why people are scared to say this, it's just the reality of the situation.
