No total on mine they were able to fix the a Pilar thankfully

Truck got hit today by person who ran red light. Wiring was smoking, front axle broke, spindle broke, fender door and hood. And who knows what else.
Those that have had wrecks, do you think its totalled

I remember yours I think, that was most of the damage right? OPs has a lot more going on with that main hoop in the front. If the pillar is messed up where it and the firewall are joined then it's gonna be a ton of work to get it straight.

Not that there aren't salvage companies cutting them in half and sewing the good halfs together, but as far as what insurance is willing to pay to have done, they are probably gonna wanna total it.

Not totaled , I’ve fixed 2 very similar to this , one non salvage and one salvaged ( radiator shroud hit and airbags , seatbelts deployed$)this is about 9-11k at a decent shop or 14-15 for insurance price.
Transmission should be fine , biggest thing is rack didn’t get cracked at the mounts to subframe and subframe didn’t oval or rip at rear an arm this would add another 2k . The unibody is amazingly strong in these . Both the crashed ones I had had broken windshields too ( another700$)
My opinion not totaled .

I have full coverage, so hopefully it covers it . Just turned 5000 miles and had scheduled the first oil change for tomorrow morning. I dont think i can wait a year or longer to get another hybrid. The body shop it towed to said due to vehicle prices rising they try to save most vehicles now

If someone ran a red light, I would expect that person's liability insurance to cover the loss to your vehicle.

Full coverage implies that you have collision coverage, which protects you regardless of fault. That does provide you with options for how to settle the damages to your car, but it does not change the legal liability of the other driver

I don't like the fact that the axle is damaged. I think that is what will cause it to be totalled.

It is not totaled in my opinion. I repair late model wrecks for a living. I would be pleased to get your vehicle to repair. I would pay $5000. PM me if Insurance Company is interested. Unfortunately many Insurance Adjusters have friends in the repair business. I usually get mine thru a Broker.
