Yes, I know, doesn't seem Maverick related....

But I'm flying to Granger soon to pick up my truck, and already have my dash cam and would love to have this in the truck for the drive home... but knowing it's a lithium battery or whatever, and all the other stuff - just didn't know if I was missing something where I couldn't carry it on...

Totally fine. I fly with mine all the time as i use them in rental cars.

The battery is small enough that it doesn't matter.

Need to pass this by TSA website.
Unless there is a TSA agent here on MTC.

You should have no issue flying with that. I'm sure the battery in that is so small. You can fly with lipo rc car batteries that are much bigger than that.

As some others have said, when it comes to batteries, it is almost the opposite of what you might expect. You can carry them on, but cant "check" them. Reason being that they prefer a battery fire in the cabin versus the cargo hold. Just check the TSA website for total battery capacity limits. There is an upper limit to the size of the battery you can carry on.

Easier to contain a fire in the cabin where the cabin crew is present and trained in fire safety. Uncontrolled Li-ion battery fires on the cargo deck, especially when transferring large quantities of such, leads to UPS 6.

Perfectly fine in your carry-on only, not checked bag. TSA limit on lithium batteries is 100Wh, around 26800mAh for a power bank, those are huge.
