Interesting observation about the installation. I found that the plastic molding was very tight up against the metal and felt. This is part of the reason why I decided to remove the PPF. I felt the risk of rubbing the paint was minimal due to the tight fit.For the front mudflaps did you put the felt liner back in place like factory, or in front of plastic trim like the installation instructions?
Just installed mine and noticed with the felt behind the plastic trim the gap is quite wide and a tad loose.
The PPF was a royal pain to get in place. Need to see in a few days to see if it will stick or need replacements.
Inner edges of the mudflaps are smooth so there's less chance of it rubbing the paint down.
