For the front mudflaps did you put the felt liner back in place like factory, or in front of plastic trim like the installation instructions?

Just installed mine and noticed with the felt behind the plastic trim the gap is quite wide and a tad loose.

The PPF was a royal pain to get in place. Need to see in a few days to see if it will stick or need replacements.

Inner edges of the mudflaps are smooth so there's less chance of it rubbing the paint down.
Interesting observation about the installation. I found that the plastic molding was very tight up against the metal and felt. This is part of the reason why I decided to remove the PPF. I felt the risk of rubbing the paint was minimal due to the tight fit.

Good question. I don't know. The flap definitely fit well against the body and are different from the fronts. Yet, I don't know why the inner section doesn't have the upper protection as pictured on the website. I would bet that would be a better design than those I received. Let me know if you reach out to Weathertech to find out the difference. They might owe me a replacement correct set. :)

Edit: Derp, being an idiot here.

The pictures are incorrect. Front image is the rear. Rear image are the front.

I can definitely say the mud flaps help keep the truck sides cleaner for longer.

The rear mudflap prevents most, not all, of the muck dripping from the driver side tail lamp.

I am not sure I understand your comment.

You can see that the Weathertech picture for the front is the same as the one mounted on my truck (see the pictures on by Shadowblack XLT).

The rears mounted on my truck don't match either picture.

I'm having a Blonde moment. Graveyards ftw.

I'll have to recheck the truck later today.

As far as I remember the triangle protrusion on the mudflaps (front) matches the pocket on the felt liners for the front wheel wells. Though, the rear mudflaps don't have them due to the wheel liner being hard plastic.

Any feedback regarding if the Weathertech's damage the paint like the OEM splash guards?

I bought them a couple of weeks ago but haven’t installed them yet. Many thanks @prsncat for posting actual photos on the truck.

Looks like they updated the pictures on the website, left and right aren't the same shape now.
